Syeni Salon and Day Spa is a full-service day spa located in downtown Apex, North Carolina, and housed in the historic Tobacco and Mule building. The spa's interiors are a blend of the building's original fixtures such as exposed beam ceilings and wood floors and Turkish-inspired design incorporating embroidered fabrics and furnishings. There are six treatment rooms and relaxation room complete with Turkish canopies. Other amenities include an executive-style salon and bar with flat-screen TVs for men and a nail bar with a custom-designed copper seating area and tulip glass bowls for women. Services include massage, body wraps, peels and facials, hair care, nail and foot care, and waxing and tinting as well as treatments designed especially for men. The spa is pretty nice but the service was lacking. I went for a 90 minute massage and a pedicure. The massage (what I was looking forward to most, of course) was the most disappointing part. First, when I stepped out of my shoes to get on the table in the room the floor was really dirty. I could feel the dirt from the floor sticking to my feet. Then the head rest on the bed was broken so that it kept making this loud noise and dropping down a little. I was afraid I'd get too relaxed and it would fall off completely. The masseuse apologized but didn't do anything--not sure if there was not another room available. I asked her to focus on my upper body and I would think that includes my head, but she never massaged my head at all (maybe because of the broken head rest). Worst of all, she abruptly ended the appointment 10-15 minutes early. My friend and I went in to our massages in separate rooms at the exact same time but I waited for at least 10 minutes while she received the complete 90 minutes. In addition, there is loud construction on the other side of the wall from the room I had the massage in. Such a disappointing experience.

The treatment room in which the service was preformed was previously used for a salt scrub, which is also a body treatment room with a shower. Also for most massage therapist upper body does not mean "head". That is considered a scalp massage and that is a requested service in most spas. Although the floor was not swept properly everything was performed to our service protocalls. The construction was something that we could not control but it is not a daily happening. We hope to see you soon.

I wanted to spend a quality day with my daughter and booked us a spa-day. Every service we recieved was above average, the providers were very professional and did not rush us. We both had a wonderful time. I am from Mass., but will return to this Spa on my next visit to N.C. Thank You

I had a supreme mani-pedi followed by a makeover and lesson. The staff took extra care with me, and I never felt rushed. I have no fingernails and figured the mani would be a waste, but Christina was very professional reassured me that it would be worth it. My nails look great, and I have been taking care of them since my mani. My toenails look spectacular.
Gregory was very thorough with my makeup application and lesson. When you go to a cosmetic counter for advice, you sometimes feel like it's a sales pitch. This was totally about me. We discussed my specific needs, and he went the extra mile and spent quite a bit of time with me.
Since this was my first spa experience, I have nothing to compare it to, but I've already made an appointment for a his and hers mani-pedi day. Can't wait!

I had a bad hair experience of which would keep me from going there for any hair service. I went in to get a hair cut & specifically explained what I wanted & asked several times not to cut too short. I came out with hardly any hair!! Not only was the cut very short compared to what I had asked but it was texturized to the point that It could only stand straight out!!! I could not work with my hair for 2 weeks. I missed going to an event because I could not deal with my too-short hair. They did offer a free consultation with another hair stylist but at that point I did not wish to go back. Hair cannot be put back on!!!
When I called to get an appointment I asked how much a cut would be. I was quoted one price but ended up being charged $20.00 more than first quoted.
This was not a pleasant experience at all, I am sorry to say.

I have been going to Syeni ever since they opened. I schedule hair and nails on a regular basis, and also add in facials and massages. The spa is beautiful, and the staff is friendly and very professional and it is always a very relaxing getaway.
