When I arrived for my appointment no one was there, but the door was open. The "spa" is also a therapy office...very weird. It looks more like an office then a spa. I expressed how I wanted my eyebrows waxed and when I was done there was barely any eyebrow left. Yikes!!! The lady was nice but I would not go back there.

I feel very bad being this harsh but I wish someone would have written a review to warn me. Let me list out the things wrong with this spa: 1) Atmosphere- or lack there of. I felt like I was at the dentist. No nice robes, no locker room, nothing that said 'spa'. It is located in a strip mall not even facing the street. I had to call twice before finding how to get in! The building is old and not kept up well. The bathroom is about the size of my closet. All in all, the minute I walked in I wanted to leave. 2) Personal Issues-The man that gave me my massage was totally unconcerned with my body staying covered. He would flip the sheet up to access my leg or arm quickly and several times almost exposing areas I did not want exposed. I spent the hour tense and keeping my hands in a place that I could easily cover my private areas. This was the most unprofessional massage I have had- and believe me, I have been to dozens of spas and had hundreds of massages. 3) Crack? Really, the massage therapist was like speedy gonzales. He would zip around the table, hit the table making it shake, did not use enough oil causing friction on my skin, and had the fastest stroke I have ever seen. It was like he was on crack or something! My heart rate went up just laying on the table. The massage hurt- and not in the good, deep tissue way. Instead, he didn't use enough oil so it hurt my skin and he was just so fast with this strokes I could not relax....at all. 4) Facial- the facial left much to be desired. It felt like he just washed my face with Noximia. I skin has been breaking out ever since!! I think I would have been better off with Noxima and some Oxy pads! I know what you are thinking- why did I not just leave? I know I should have been more assertive but the massage therapist and I were the only people in the building, he was much bigger than me, and I did not want to make him upset. This was the worst experience ever and I was so stressed out when I left, I had to get another massage when I got home from vacation!! I am so sorry to do this to someone's business but really, this is not the line of business this man should be in! Do not visit this spa.

Our office is located in a 2 story professional building along with a dental office, insurance company, hair salon and yoga studio. upon entering our hawaiian themed day spa you are greeted by your (state licensed) technician with a cool lovely lavender scented compress to cool yourself down from our warm tropical climate. We are excited to announce that this fall we will be adding in our hydrotherapy room complete with infared sauna, rainfall shower, steam and whirlpool bath. We will be the first day spa in Kihei (outside of the expensive resort spa's) to offer these services. Updates will be posted on our website. In order for you to have the best spa experience possible we reccommend that you communicate with your technician about the services you are about to receive and if durring your service anything is uncomfortable to you please let the technician know immediately. Communication can change your experience form bad or average to wonderful. Our technicians do have strengths in different styles of massage, so if you are partial to a certain style , pressure or speed of massage please make this known when booking your appointment. We do also employ both female and male technicians, so if you have a preference in that area please feel free to share that with us as well. We strongly stand by our professional line of skin care products, because we know first hand how wonderfully they work. Personally, after moving here to maui, i was suffering from mild adult acne and tried several different professional product lines before being introduced to Oxygen Botanicals. The oxygen Botanicals skin care line has completely cleared up my skin and I highly suggest you visit their wesite and learn about their amazing products. We look forward to serving you durring your stay here on the beautiful island of maui. mahalo
