A New Attitude Beauty Studio is a Cincinnati-based salon and day spa with an intimate home-like setting ideal for day spa clients and private spa parties. A full color bar is available in the hair studio and a whirlpool pedichair and manicure table are on-hand for nail care. There are four treatment rooms including a massage therapy room and a facial room stocked with SkinCeuticals professional products. A New Attitude offers services such as massage, facials, airbrush tanning, manicures and pedicures, and waxing. Clients can also indulge in Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy and luxurious treatments like the 24Karat Gold Facial, which is meant to provide the skin with a healthy glow. Spa and bridal parties of up to six can be hosted in this cozy facility, with party options featuring services, hors d'oeuvres, and wine or tea by Tea Forte.

I think the resaon why I don't usually write on these boards is because people do it when they are at the height of their feelings. Where as once we can reflect, no one would choose to put the hateful things they said out there in the open. Although what I wrote was exactly what happened- my experience was with the one nail tech and front desk assistant-not the entire salon. I did call today and spoke with the personal assistant to the owner, who was not only friendly- but extremely apologetic for the other employees behavior. He has assured me he will get to the bottom of things and call me back. I feel badly for putting the post up that I did, because as I can tell from talking with the employee I talked to today- yesterday's experience was certainly not reflective of the entire staff. So I apologize for yesterday's post, and hope that people get to see more of the customer service I saw today.

Worst customer service experience in my life! I am in customer service and never write on these things because I realize that sometimes people might have a bad day, however, this was ridiculous. I went there with my mother for my mother's day present. She had driven 45 min to get there. I had made the appointment 5 days before hand and confirmed it twice. They said they had me scheduled for the next week-refused to come out from behind a wall and said she didn't want to re-schedule me. I have never been treated like that before. Good luck trying to get a customer base besides your friends. And the last person I know that went there said the girl rushed through her appt and complained the whole time about how she wanted to go home and wasn't supposed to work that late. What the hell kind of amature place is this? Defintely not a PROFFESIONAL salon by any means. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! There are way better salons in Cincinnati- and most of them cost less!

I made an appointment a month ago for today. I was not called for a confirmation of the appointment and when I called to verify that I still had my appointment, the employee was out and would not be able to complete my service. Yet, I was never called to cancel. When I said to cancel my appointment because I could not come any other day (hence why I booked a month ahead of time), the guy said "okay, thanks bye" and hung up without trying to resolve any other issue. Customer service was less than par on this one.

Two friends and I purchased a Half Price Cincy coupon for a Mani/Pedi in February hoping to redeem all at the same time to get our nails done before a girls’ Vegas trip, only to learn they were booked for the next couple of months and only have one nail technician on the schedule.
I then began trying to book an appointment for myself and after leaving about 4-5 voicemails on their answering machine over a week or two, I finally received a call back and scheduled an appointment for 2 months out, only to have it cancelled the night before.
I rescheduled and could not get an appointment in at that point until late June. I finally arrived at my 7pm appointment and the nail technician thought she was done for the day and she was literally arguing with the receptionist in front of me. She was complaining about how tired she was the entire time and did my entire manicure and pedicure in about 30 minutes.
In the meantime, I was desperate to get my hair highlighted, so I scheduled a hair appointment for that Sunday at 2pm with one of their hair stylists. Big mistake! I double checked 2-3 more times before leaving to make sure I was booked in their system only to show up Sunday afternoon with the front door locked and no response to me calling. I waited 30 minutes outside and no one ever showed up or responded. I never received an apology or a reason why.
This place is a waste of time and money. There are plenty of good salons and spas in Cincinnati – do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place!

This place is absolutely horrible! First, they were all very rude and ignored me for 10 minutes. Then when I finally got my appointment with the "stylist"/owner, he was snooty and the brazillian blowout burned my eyes, gave me nosebleeds for a week, and to top it all off it only lasted a month, while they claim it lasts 4 months. I have had multiple blowouts done at other salons, and never had this happen. Don't waste your money, go to a legitimate salon!

First of all, I was having difficulty finding the salon but apparently they don't have a receptionist. When I finally found the salon, I wasn't greeted for over 15 minutes! My appointment was for 6:30. It was well past 7:00 before I was seated in the pedi area which was so uncomfortable!! The girl completing my service was nice, but she did a horrible job!! I have paint all over my cuticles and after one afternoon the paint looks dull. The other girl working had her friend hanging out while she worked on a family member. Very unproffesional. Did I mention that the service wasn't complete until 9:00!! Finally there is no place for your nails to dry. They had me dig in my purse while my nails were still wet so they could get payment and rush me out the door. It was a horrible experience and a complete waste of money.

I reside in Florida over the winters and return to my hometown, Cincinnati every summer. I visited a New Attitude Beauty Stuido last summer and became a pretty regular customer. My experiences last summer were always top notch! I have returned to Cincinnati and was very much looking forward to returning to A New Attitude for my bi-weekly pampering. Initially, I was bummed to find out that my #1 massage therapist, Andrea and my #1 skincare specialist, Stacey were no longer there. But because of my experiences last summer I assumed that the quality of service would still be outstanding. I was VERY wrong! When I arrived at the salon the receptionist ignored the fact that I had arrived for my appointment and continued with a telephone conversation stating how "hung over" he was from the evening before. My esthetician did not show up to work at all that day...I was later informed that she quit and my massage appointment had to be "rescheduled". When I expressed my disappointment, the owner told me to "go find another salon if I didn't like it". WOW! What has happened in the last year? -A Very Disappointed Hyde Park Resident.

I have had several massages from Raphael at this spa and they are the best I have ever received. The massages are very relaxing and have helped me tremendously with back problems I have had for several years. I will continue getting a massage from Raphael as long as I can.
Also, the staff at the salon are extremely friendly and polite. I have had no trouble booking appointments for the times I need and they are always right on time when I arrive.

I use to frequent this salon when their staff was awesome. Now it is just a rude owner that is unbelieveably vulgar to listen to and ruins your spa experience. The quality of service is lacking and they keep doing one groupon and living social deal after another so they aren't able to accomodate anyone and make it a good experience. Sad to see such a great place go down in flames like that. Good luck to the employees that were able to get away from that horrible salon and spa.

My sister-in-law went for what we thought was going to be relaxing mani and pedi. We bought a coupon on groupon.com. The two nail techs were not very friendly. They talked to themselves, and not us. The nail tech that was doing my nails did a horrible job. I had half painted nails, and while doing the mani, it hurt. She didn't massage my hands very well, and when she was cutting the cuticles, it hurt! The nails were half painted, and wasn't smooth. My sister in law's tech kept walking out on her. When she came back, her breath smelled like smoke. She was taking brakes, instead of doing our nails. The pedi area was not comfortable. I am a bit shorter than average, but still was not good! You put your feet in a kitchen sink, and have to stretch your legs across it for them to do your feet. Again, my nails are only half done!
I would not recommend at all, and it was a waste of money for the groupons we had! I have emailed the company, and have not had a response, in about 2 weeks! Horrible experience, and not relaxing at all! Waste of money!

I used a LivingSocial deal to visit today. Based on the other recent reviews I read, it doesn't seem like they are prepared to take full advantage of the program. When I called back in Nov to try & schedule an appt, they were booked and couldn't get me in so close to the holidays. But when I called this week, they were able to set an appointment for me for the next day. :) Unfortunately the nail tech wasn't at work when I made the appt and there was a gap getting the info to her. :( So she was late, which had me worried about the metered parking w/ a 1-hour limit. John, the receptionist seems to be the owner as well. Since she was running late, you'd think that he'd have used the time to show me around the salon and let me know what other services they provide. He didn't. Over the weekend they put in a new pedicure station that looks nice but isn't adjustable. Hopefully they'll be able to make adjustments to it, since one of the best things about a pedicure is being able to sit back and relax, and that wasn't my experience today since I had to sit all the way forward for my feet to reach into the sink and for her to work on them. Hillary was perfectly pleasant, but the setup seemed difficult for her to maneuver as well.

When I arrived for my appointment at the scheduled time, I was told I would have to wait at least 20 minutes for the nail tech to finish a manicure and then do a pedicure. I told the receptionist I would have appreciated a phone call to let me know the nail tech was running late, and he said he doesn't know that and the employees are responsible for tracking their own time.
He also told me that the salon was doing me a favor by scheduling my appointment since I needed to re-schedule my original appointment. As I told him, I would have rather been told they coudn't accommodate my request and be squeezed in. I was told they were doing me, a new customer, a favor.
Never once did I receive an apology for the inconvenience caused. Rather than accepting responsiblity for their booking error and inconveniencing a customer, the receptionist was defensive and rude. I would have felt completely different about the situation if the receptionist would have taken responsiblity and been empathetic as opposed to taking on the attitude of (and telling me) they were doing me a favor.
This place needs a new attitude towards their customers and about customer service. I have never had such terrible experience at a salon / spa.

Obviously, A New Attitude Beauty Studio was trying to drum up business when they sold discounted gift certificates online. However, they might want to reevaluate how customer service effects repeat customers.
I am in need of a new stylist and was looking forward to my appointment yesterday, but got violently ill a couple of hours before and had to cancel. I understand the need for a cancellation policy and if someone had answered the phone when I called, I maybe could have explained myself. Instead, I got a rude return call from the manager today stating that she was forfeiting my gift certificate. Needless to say, I won't be giving them a second chance.

This situation was handled very professionally. I was never rude while explaining our 24 hour cancellation policy for the discount voucher program LisaP is speaking of. This cancellation policy is explained when the client books and they are informed that if they do cancel last minute their voucher will be forfeited. We are very upfront with the client about these voucher stipulations. Once her situation had been explained to management, we reinstated her voucher and she came in for her hair service. She found her service and the salon very satisfactory and even pre-booked her next appointment. We always encourage a 24 hour notice but if there is a good reason for last minute cancellations, we do what we can to remedy the problem.

Just had the most amazing experience with A New Attitude Beauty Studio. Andrea started my day by melting away all my troubles. Stacey gave me the works...facial, microdermabrasion and a brow wax to only have me wondering how I every survived without my skin looking this radiant before I met her. To top it all off, Lauren made my limp, dirty blonde hair look amazing with highlights and a textured bob. I can't believe I haven't found these girls before now. Loved the entire experience.

My daughter went to John for her wedding hairstyle and Rose applied her makeup. My daughter’s hair and makeup was absolutely beautiful. We were extremely pleased with the results. I have been going to A New Attitude Salon for almost a year now. It is a great blend of trendiness, expertise and comfort. It is a small moderon location right in the heart of Hyde Park. It is easy to leave the salon looking fabulous and walk to meet friends for dinner on Erie.
My stylist Rose does an excellent job on my cut and highlights. She is always listens to what I want the end result to be and then explains how to get my hair there. She always does a very detailed job and takes a lot of pride in her work. I have never once left an appointment with Rose and been anything less than completly happy with the result.
This is normally the type of expertise and service you get at a big, impersonal salon. A New Attitude is very intimate, though. You feel like you are getting very personalized attention. In addition, it is always nice to laugh and have a class of wine with the other women there and the staff. people that work
I will continue to see Rose at A New Attitude and reccomend her and the location to others in Cincinnati!

I visited this spa before my wedding and on my wedding day. I received nothing but STAR treatment from EVERY member of their staff. Two days before the wedding, my MOH and I went there for a mini spa day where Lauren did a deep condition treatment on our hair, Ashley gave us the BEST pedicure, and Stacey gave us an amazing facial and neck/shoulder massage. Stacy also waxed and dyed my eyebrows and eyelashes. The day was overall FANTASTIC and relaxing!
I also have had a couple of massages with Andrea, and she is absolutely AMAZING!!!
On my wedding day, John did a PHENONMENAL job on my hair, of which I received dozens of complements on. Rosina did a FABULOUS job on my make up, which didn't wear off the ENTIRE ceremony and reception!!!
Everyone who works there is very friendly and very attentive to every person who walks through the door. You will NOT be disappointed when you walk out of A New Attitude Beauty Studio. I will pass their name on to every bride I know and every friend that lives the area!
I will make the trip from Dayton to go there for my routine hair cuts and all other services!

I recently visited the new boutique style salon and LOVED IT! I'm use to going to really big spas and by far I got my moneys worth. I had an ashiatsu massage with Andrea a facial with Stacey and higlights with Rosina. this was a gift from my husband and I will definitly be back. New Attitude Beauty Studio is nestled in the heart of Hyde Park Square. The interior of the studio is beautiful, luxurious, and is a treat. A getaway spa close to home. The variety of services is unmatched here in Cincinnati. Owner, John, is unbelieveably talented, as well as his charming staff.
Give them a try, get a wax, cut and style, you will not regret it. You will never go anywhere else!
