    Tranquil Day Spa is located in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood and has a simple, clean, design, highlighted by black and white interiors. There are four treatment rooms as well as a whirlpool in the 1,500-square-foot facility. The spa's specialty is massages and Tranquil offers a variety of modalities encompassing Swedish, deep-tissue, aromatherapy, lava stone, shiatsu, Thai, prenatal and post-natal, foot reflexology, and chair. Clients can also take advantage of the spa's on-call massage service and unwind with a massage at their home. Other services include body wraps and scrubs, facials, and waxing. The spa's signature Tranquil Modern Facial incorporates cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, mask, toning, moisturizing, and a face, neck and scalp massage. Packages are also available.

I've been getting facial treatment & body massage for 5 years, they always make me a brand new person when I leave there. the staff are extremely nice and place is very clean and quiet . I highly recommend this spa for the great quality of service and reasonable price. it's not luxury place at all but very simple & comfortable which all I need! I can't live without Tranquil Spa!!!

My sister and I visited this spa based upon the spafinder recommendations. We were led astray! Definitely not luxurious, but clean. The massage table was hard-I actually started to cramp during my session. You are covered only by a towel, not a sheet or blanket as I'm used to. Couldn't hear the street noise, but the phone and doorbell were going off during my session which was annoying. My masseuse was great and I was satisfied with my massage. My sister however, not so much. Same uncomfortable table. But her masseuse was also the receptionist, so while I was merely annoyed by the ringing phone and doorbell, her session was stopped. TWICE. Highly unprofessional. Definitely do not recommend.

I don't get massages on a regular basis - can't bring myself to *really* justify the cost, unfortunately - but I've had my fair share, plenty to have a significant basis for comparison. I recently received a SpaFinder gift card from a friend, and happened to be suffering some back pain for the past few weeks. I decided I would treat myself to a massage, and picked Tranquil Day Spa based on reviews, location and affordability. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly. The private room I was brought to was spacious, and the atmosphere was calming and just the right balance of soft music and quiet that I liked. I was asked if I had any areas where I wanted extra attention, and I noticed that the massage therapist made a point to work that specific area during the session. I had requested a Deep Tissue massage because I usually get a massage to work out tension & sore muscles, rather than to relax, so I don't like when the massage therapist is too soft. The MT was amazing!! Just the right amount of strong pressure, and he was very good at sensing where I had the most tension. I really appreciated the individual attention, and I felt very taken care of. I was quite happy with my session, and I definitely recommend Tranquil Day Spa. I hope to return there again soon!

A word to the wise: melt your stress away in this Chelsea gem. If you want to relax and unwind, and feel rejuvenated, Tranquil Day Spa is the place to find inner peace. Quiet your mind and let your body and soul experience nirvana. Aches and pains will disappear as the friendly staff addresses your specific needs. They are well versed in all areas of physiology and will help reduce muscle and joint pain by targeting the areas that give you discomfort. In addition, the prices are very affordable, which puts an additional smile on your face. Treat yourself to a wonderful experience. In these unsettled times, it's nice to know you can massage your troubles away.

I cannot imagine a finer day spa in Manhattan. The massage therapists are superb. Every time I leave I feel like I am walking on clouds. The staff is extremely attentive and skilled. Also, the value is FANTASTIC. I come as often as possible for massage treatment as it is truly a mind and body altering experience. My muscles are extremely tense due to Lyme Disease yet when I leave Tranquil Day Spa I feel like a different person. I have NEVER received a better msssage anywhere and I have NEVER been dissatisfied. Because the spa is not as large as so many others in New York, I have been able to get to know my massage therapists and they too have gotten to know my body's needs which always provides for excellent results. I reccommend this spa to all my friends and family. It is worth every penny. I promise you will return again and again.

I went to this spa based on the ratings. The massage was relaxing, but the masseuse's movements were very quick and not as slow as I would've liked. It didn't seem as if he was a professional. As for the facial-she did not assess my skin beforehand, or ask antyhing about my skin regime, etc. She barely even saw my face, as the lights were so dim. It was more of a face massage than facial. So if you just want someone to help you relax, this is a good option, but don't go if you're really into the skincare, etc. I wouldn't go back for either, but will say that it was a relaxing and clean atmosphere, just didn't seem all that professional to me.

For an excellent, health-promoting, stress-relieving, and inexpensive massage experience in a very convenient Chelsea locale, nothing beats Tranquil Day Spa. The Staff members are lovely people who go the extra step to welcome customers. Importantly, they give the most theraputic massages! Plus the ambiance of the spa is very appealing. Everything is clean and the space is nicely decorated and maintained.

Since my first visit to this incredible sanctuary I was a devoted customer. The peaceful atmosphere and lovely sense of a retreat in the heart of Chelsea makes each visit a delightfully restful restorative treat. The massages here always transport me to an amazingly relaxing place forwhich my aches and pains are thankful and mood grateful. Tense muscles aregone!! I experience wonderful personal and detailed attention paid to my need atevery visit. The Facial experience exemplifies this with a caring gentletouch.
