Nine Stones

For all the hype, this was incredibly meh.First of all, front desk staff screwed up reservation, so instead of being at hotel, we had to relocate or cancel... Massage was very mediocre; facial actually made my face burn and sting, leaving me blotchy for the next day. There was no work done by the facial person...she just smeared a variety of cream on my face and took it off. At other spas, I have had hand and arm massages as part of facials, or at least some facial massage...here there was nothing. So expensive, too. A huge let-down.

I have had many spa treatments while traveling the world, but none of them compare to my local Nine Stone spa! The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet from the moment that you walk in the front door. The spa treatments are amazing. I would highly recommend the hot stone massage for both the amazing feel as well as the soothing sound of rocks throughout. The facials are also amazing and I'm not sure which I would more highly recommend. If you are expecting, the prenatal massages are just as amazing. It's the whole package. The staff are very professional and truely concerned that your experience was great. Worth every penny! I now save my massages for when I return home to Portland, at Nine Stones massage.

My sister in law and I took my mom to Nine Stones Spa and it was her first spa experience. Staff was fantastic. Services were great. Fantastic atmosphere and in a great location right in the heart of funky Portland. I totally recommend this spa.

Walking into Nine Stones is like walking into a calm and soothing world. I was greeted with an attentitive and friendly staff. They were all very professional from beginning to end and the spa treatments were of the upmost quality (service and products). I left feeling very pampered and truly rejuventated but relaxed. In all it was a very good experience.
