About Solace Spa at Boyne Mountain
Northern Michigan's Boyne Mountain is a four-season ski, spa, and golf destination resort amid 5,000 acres of beautiful lakefront and mountains. Honored with numerous awards, including Condé Nast Traveler's "Top 50 Ski Hotels," the property caters to all types of vacationers, from families to couples to business groups, and boasts two championship golf courses, an indoor water park, and 37,000 square feet of event space. Following a day on the slopes or on the course, guests can retreat to the resort's centerpiece, the luxurious Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa, home to Solace Spa, an impressive 18,000-square-foot complex with a fitness center, pool, café, and salon. Modeled after classic Swiss and Austrian inns, the resort reflects a European yet homey aesthetic, with pine and wrought-iron gates, ornate chandeliers and sconces, beautifully painted murals, wood furnishings, and a grand wood-burning fireplace in the lobby. Taking advantage of its natural setting, Boyne is ideal for guests who want to enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities, from skiing to hiking to sailing, depending on the season.

The opulent Solace Spa at Boyne Mountain is an 18,000-square-foot sanctuary comprising 19 treatment rooms, a café, a full-service salon, and a fitness center with Pilates, movement, and core training studios. Spa services focus on therapeutic and rejuvenating treatments and include massage, body treatments, facials, manicures and pedicures, and waxing. Before treatments, guests can indulge in the European Bathing Ritual, a self-guided circuit of dry and wet therapies that incorporate reinvigorating moments in the spa's cedar saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools, and cold showers. Guests can also spend quiet time by the fireplace in the relaxation room, sipping tea and eating fresh fruit, or lounge in the indoor/outdoor pool, two hot tubs, and heated courtyard, open year-round.
Once a month the spa hosts Family Nights (kids ages six and up are welcome), where families can relax together with mini facials, massages, hair styling, family yoga classes, and more, in addition to regular spa services.

200 Hour Classic Yoga Teacher Certification
21-Oct-2012 00:00 — 17-Nov-2012 00:00 Sandra Carden
The premiere yoga studio of northern Michigan, Union Yoga, has chosen to host a 28 day Yoga Teacher training session this year at Solace Spa. Sean Handler, Michigan Director of Spas for Boyne Resorts explains, "Sandra Carden and Union Yoga set the bar for yoga instruction. Combine the training with the 5000 acre sanctuary of Solace Spa, and you end up with the perfect setting for learning and yoga study." Clarity through yoga is self-inquiry and understanding of yourself– how you have been conditioned to think, act, move, and grow, as a manifested spiritual entity. UNION/YOGA Teacher Certification is approved by Yoga Alliance, and licensed by the State of Michigan. This course will benefit anyone desiring personal growth and in-depth experiential revelation of yoga, whether seeking a teaching career, or not.
