I had a 'luxury' manicure and pedicure here yesterday but unfortunately the experience was not great, the manager who greeted me was totally miserable and un welcoming, the manicure and pedicure area was filthy with dirty towels and mess everywhere from previous clients. My therapist did make an effort and was friendly and warm but the treatments themselves were not up to scratch for the price.
My overall impression was that no one really cared, especially the manager it was very impersonal,and poor treatment quality. It is not a luxury day spa in my opinion but a less then average high street salon. Would not go again.

I went to Champneys for a facial and I was quite apprehensive after reading the reviews however I found the spa to be fantastic! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the actual facial was heaven. I enjoyed it so much I re-booked an appointment for a massage right there on the spot (it didn't hurt they were doing a deal for 50% off your next treatment!). I highly recommend Champneys Guildford

VERY RUDE, GRUMPY, UNHELPFUL STAFFBy GemmaG | June 17, 2011
I went to Champneys Guildford this morning for a facial at 9am. I arrived to find the door locked but the staff were inside. I alerted a member of staff and was told that as the manager "hadn't turned up" that I had to wait for a few minutes. Despite there being four members of staff inside, myself and another client had to wait on the street. When the manager did arrive the door was unlocked but we were not invited inside, we were left on the street having to ask if we may now enter. I was then not allowed to have my facial because I am currently having chemotherapy which conflicts with their policy. I can understand that BUT I had told the member of staff when I made the appointment that I have cancer and she made the appointment anyway. When I was told I couldn't have the treatment I was quite upset and was offered no kind words but left in tears. I will NEVER go to this spa again and suggest that their staff get some training on how to treat people!

I went along for my St Tropez and was 2 minutes late after running up Guidford high str due to traffic. The women behind the counter was very rude and said as I was late and I couldn't have it done. If they do not allow a couple of extra minutes for customers then what a poor outfit. There was only 1 person sat in recption and 4 Champneys workers stood around. I could understand if I was 10 mins late but 2. I had all my bridal party booked for July to be pampered and will now be cancelling due to vry poor attitude.

Went to Champneys in guildford for eye brow wax and file and polish, it was brilliant the place is beautiful, the staff very friendly and welcoming the treatments i had were great and i will definately be going again and taking my daughters.
