Originally built in the 1930s as the Dempsey Vanderbilt Hotel, the Art Deco building now sits next to the hotel's 40-story glass tower that rises above the landscape for extraordinary city views. At the Spa at the Setai, Eastern and Western philosophies are combined in the spa's menu. Ayurvedic medicine is the basis for many of the services, and therapists provide a variety of Eastern massage techniques, including Thai and Balinese. The signature treatment is the Relaxing Balinese Massage; it begins with an aromatherapy scrub and light exfoliation of the feet, continues with a traditional Balinese full-body massage, and includes Balinese Palming, stretching, effleurage, and pressure-point techniques to relieve tension, improve blood flow, ease stress, and calm the mind.
The 10,000-square-foot spa features Asian decor and has four treatment rooms. The spacious, tandem massage suites feature their own private bathroom, shower, and steam room. Couples can also take advantage of the Couple's Bath, which takes place in a two-person bathtub with a view of the pool.
There are also specific treatments for men, including the Ren Facial for Men. The spa also accommodates groups, such as bridal parties, with mini facials, mini massages, or manicure/pedicure packages. The spa also offers prenatal and postnatal massage.

Two separate and distinct buildings hold the property's 130 guest rooms. The Art Deco Building is a refurbished historic structure that features Asian influence in the decor. The modern Tower features large windows and space throughout.
Suites in the Art Deco Building come in two options: studio and junior. The Tower offers one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and specialty suites. There, the four-bedroom, four-bath penthouse has a private rooftop pool, a music room with Steinway piano, and butler service at any moment.
The hotel offers three dining options. The Restaurant features a demonstration kitchen, where guests can watch their authentic Asian cuisine being created. At the Grill, fine meat from around the world is served along with a selection of wines. The Pool & Beach Bar offers fresh, grilled Mediterranean dishes and snacks by the pool or beach and allows for alfresco dining with ocean views.
The menus emphasize seasonal fare made with locally purchased ingredients. A spa menu is available at the restaurants, and its cuisine is portion-controlled. Vegetarian and children's meals are available as well.

The hotel's three pools are each kept at different temperatures, so guests can choose which is most comfortable. Poolside food and beverage is also available at each site. Guests can take advantage of the property's oceanfront location with beach weddings, dining and drinking at the Pool & Beach Bar, or jet skiing.
Guests wishing to drink alfresco can lounge in the courtyard, which features a mother-of-pearl-encrusted bar where house cocktails are served.
