About Standley Lake Massage Therapy
Standley Lake Massage Therapy has been providing clinical and relaxation massage services in northwest Denver for more than 28 years. The 1,800-square-foot spa has four treatment rooms, each decorated with a different theme, and equipped with table warmers. Massage sessions are tailored to client's needs by gathering a health history, and discussing client concerns. Music is played during massages to add to the relaxing atmosphere and hot packs and ice packs are incorporated into treatments. All therapists are trained and experienced in treating conditions such as headache, neck, or shoulder pain, whiplash/low back injuries, issues relating to stress, and conditioning and stretching after injury. Massage modalities include Swedish, prenatal, sports, neuromuscular, deep-tissue, lymph drainage, reiki, and reflexology. The spa also offers "Chill out Whenever" (C.O.W) services by traveling to offices and performing chair massage accompanied by music.Location

I have been struggling with fractured ribs for 6 months. Knowing that the healing process took time, I waited til recently to start body work for the pain. I had had several massages and chiropractic prior to getting some deep tissue work done by Sarah at Standley Lake. Her work made a HUGE difference for me. I finally had less pain and more relaxed muscles. YAY Sarah! I plan to get more work done by her as my ribs continue to heal.

Great facility with a very knowledgeable, welcoming, and helpful staff! Megan gave me an awesome massage - the most thorough I've ever had - and gave me great advice on stretches and techniques to help with stress in my upper back and shoulders. It's a little far from my house, but I'll go back, it's worth the drive! Prices are very reasonable and the staff was truly interested in my overall health and wellness. I'd high recommend Standley Lake Massage.

I had an hour and a half session with Sarah working on my low back and hips. Felt great and when I got off the table, I wasn't hunched over in my hips. Made me realize I'm sitting too much. I feel longer through my torso.

I used my SpaFinder gift card and was pleasantly surprised by Brenda the massage therapist. She was excellent. I would improve the atmosphere by filling the air with a hint of aromatic oils.

I used my Spa Finder gift certificate at Standley Lake Massage for a 90 prenatal. While they are not a fluffy-robe-sauna kind of establishment, I received an absolutely amazing massage which more than made up for anything else. The customer service was fantastic and everyone I encountered was super nice. The prenatal massage was wonderful and so relaxing. I plan to return often and highly recommend their services.

I recently received Manual Lymph Drainage from Mary Ashby.
I work with my hands and I am on my feet all day.
I have a real problem with swelling in my hands and feet.
Manual Lymph Drainage is Amazingly relaxing.
The session really helped to reduce the swelling, soreness & improve my movement.
Mary also added a little Swedish for my shoulders and back!
I WILL BE BACK!!!

I had a fantastic deep tissue massage! My therapist was very professional and very good! He really listened to my needs and addressed all of my problem areas, even giving me helpful advise for streching etc. I was super excited about the reasonable price too! I will definately be back!

I returned from vacation feeling completely out of sorts sleeping in different beds and driving in different cars. I made an appointment with Marv for an hour and a half massage. Marv addressed all my areas of issues very well. He asked questions as he worked .... if the pressure was enough or if the areas felt better. With the last 10 minutes, he asked if he could go over any areas that still needed work. I appreciated that.
The only word of caution I can give is that if you are wanting to go for a massage at a SHI-SHi location that is spa like, this is not that type of place. THere is not any upselling for spa products or robes. It is simply a place to get a massage. The environment is simple.
The day after my appointment, a person from the front office called to see if I was happy with their services. I appreciated this gesture. I have made an appointment to go back. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a therapeutic massage.

Our entire family is proud to be regular clients at SLMT. We have been going there for many years on a weekly basis. Everyone there is very professional and friendly. The atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing. My therapist is Rochelle. She is outstanding. Always concerned and interested in my well being. Very capable at addressing any physical issues that arise. My daughter also sees her for prenatal massage. I highly recommend SLMT for anyone interested in improving their physical as well as emotional well being.

I'm serious, five stars for everything, it really doesn't get any better than this. The energy in this place is so peaceful and relaxing, and the therapists are all excellent. I believe it's been owned by the same woman for over twenty years, which also says a great deal. Give it a try, you'll be glad you did!

I had injured my left hand and was experiencing a lot of pain when in a last ditch attempt for relief I let myself be talked into trying out Standley Lake Massage Therapy.
It was very easy to set up an appointment at a time best for me, and had a list of specialised therapists to choose from. As I walked into the office, music was playing softly and a water fountain was tinkling in the corner. There is a selection of tea available along with water and the couches just beg to be sat on. To the left is a small front office where I signed in and waited for my therapist, Mary, to greet me and lead me back to the room.
It was very relaxing inside and I liked the atmosphere, the massage bed was quite comfortable and cushy. My massage started on time, with Mary asking keen questions on what I was experiencing and explaining various options of what could be done to help. Her technique was amazing. She started with a oil rub and then the massage. It was just perfect, without causing additional pain.
Later on I have gone in for Lymph-node Drainage and recieved the same excellent treatment as the first time. I highly recommend this massage therapy clinic and will go back for more.

I have gone twice in the past two months. My body pains have decreases and I have a fuller range of motion. I was hobbled with back and hip back pain but now I can stand up and walk normally. It was a very therapeutic experience and I am going every month now. I was unable to regularly workout before coming here, and now I am able to go to the gym 4 times a week. It is all part of being healthy for me and I highly recommend it to EVERYONE. My therapist is Robb, he was patient and listened to what my physical issue were and what I wanted from the experience. It is a wonderful place!!!

I have been to Standley Lake Massage Therapy many times over the last 6+ years, and received treatments from most all of the therapists there. Each one is knowlegeable and courteous, and addressed my needs. SLMT is affordable and conveniently located. The front desk staff is accommodating to a variety of schedule requests. I will go back again and again!

The little details make a big differerence in my wanting to come back to Standley Lake Massage Therapy. From the moment I walked in the door, each person said "hello" to me and made me feel welcomed. The questions my therapist asked me to create the experience I wanted from my massage made me feel like they were truely there for me (other places I've been, had felt like I was just another body). And my therapist gave me a relaxing yet therapeutic session for my sore muscles. Even when my session was completed, I was greeted with smiling faces from the staff.
It was a relaxing and wonderful experience!

I was surprised at the knowledge my massage therapist had. She offered a variety of different options. Krista really cared about what I was looking for and my needs. She also explained to me her style, which I did not know therapist had a style. I was impressed on how in tune she was with my body. Even though she noticed that I didn't have too many problem spots, she also showed me stretches I can do on the problem spots I did have. Because of her knowledge, I would highly recommend this place.

Everyone was so nice from the moment I entered! This quaint place has been open since 1982 and they know what they are doing! The massage was wonderful. Before the massage began, my therapist, Rob, sat down and made sure he was aware of what I was looking for. He made sure he was very aware of any medical needs I had (I slipped a disk in my lower back a few years back and have hip problems from time to time) and ensured that the massage was perfect. Just the right amount of pressure, and he let me know he was willing to provide more pressure or less if I needed it. They seemed to have a number of specials available, and I was impressed by the different massage options! They even have postnatal massages where you can bring your baby with you into the room! I will definitely be going back - with or without a Spa Finder gift card!
