First Visit
I was a bit apprehensive about my first visit to Atlantis after reading several other reviews. However, I had a great experience. The esthetician was both knowledgeable and professional. I got an express facial, which I would highly recommend to other customers. At $30 for a 30 minute service, it is a fantastic deal. You get steam treatment, a cleanser, mask and anti-aging serums, as well as a nice face/neck massage. I will be returning for this service again. The only thing I wish is that Atlantis had more of a "spa" vibe when you first walk in, but this seems to be the case with most spas in Lincoln. Once you get up to the treatment room, it is very quiet and inviting with a plush bed and pillow, dim lights and soft terry robes.

Awful
Awful... I had called to book a couples massage on a saturday about a month in advance. They told me that I was scheduled for 12:00 and she said she only had one massage therapist on that day so she would have to find another to come in since it was a couples massage. I figured they would call me if they couldn't find one... nope! I called the day before to confirm my appointment and they told me that I wasn't even in their system... how rude! I will never EVER be going to this spa that is just so unprofessional and irresponsible of them!

lack of service
Surprised to see no other magazines in waiting area other than 3-4hairstyling books/mags, not even People or Vogue or Cosmopolitan or Sport Illustrated. Less than spa-like, only 5-7 hair chairs, and one pedicure station that I saw. My 60 minute massage started 10 minutes LATE, and since it ended on time, I was shorted 10 minutes. I was also told when I booked the appointment that the therapist would ask me about the correct pressure to apply; she didn't ASK ME ONCE, but she did talk to me about everything else. There was also a spot that was being massaged that was internal scar tissue from an old injury that kept "snapping". Rather than her asking me about it, I had to ask her to stop massaging that area. The rest of the massage was o.k., but I don't think I'd go back, even if I was offered a freebie.

Great Couples Massage
My husband & I went to the spa for a couples massage; it was my Valentine's Day present to him. The massage room was very comfortable, and the therapists were thorough and knowledgeable. They made it a very special experience for us!
