Vinyasa Flow
This vinyasa flow class will prepare you for the poses within the Ashtanga Asana method. Asana is the third of the eight limb method of Ashtanga Yoga. Out of the five series of Asanas (postures), as sequenced and taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Elizabeth will weave a methodical improvisation to open your body to the chosen asanas of the day. After a traditional warm up and standing sequence, the class will begin to "research" with the body to build the strength, structure and muscular alignment necessary for specific postures. This vigorous class is counted breath by breath, move by move, like a dance. There are ways to modify any posture that does not suit your body. |
