Accomplished, Yale-trained facial plastic surgeon Dr. Alexander Z. Rivkin founded Westside Aesthetics to provide his patients with beautifying, medical-grade treatments without the discomfort and downtime required by surgery. At Westside Aesthetics, patients can enjoy technologically advanced skin-care services in an intimate, luxurious environment where every aspect of their treatment is personally supervised by Dr. Rivkin.Westside offers a wide array of injectables, such as Botox®, Restylane, and Radiance for facial rejuvenation. All injectable procedures are administered by Dr. Rivkin himself, including "injection rhinoplasty," which uses various injectable fillers to effect subtle changes in the contours of the nose. This temporary procedure is much less expensive and debilitating than plastic surgery. Teenagers and others wary of the permanent effects of plastic surgery are common candidates for injection rhinoplasty. Dr. Rivkin's IPL photo-facial and laser hair removal system have been known to achieve lasting effects for most skin types in much less time than other lasers.
Licensed aestheticians perform Westside's medical spa treatments, which include exfoliating chemical peels, a full-hour acne facial, and microdermabrasion. The waiting room at Westside features a balcony and available chocolate, espresso, cappuccino, and water.

Treatment begins with a free consultation from one of our experts. Any questions you may have will be discussed, and a full treatment regimen will be outlined for you. We recommend once weekly treatments for a series of about 8 weeks. Each treatment lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour, depending on how many areas you want to treat. When you come in for treatment, make sure to clean the area to be treated so that it is free of body oils. You also want to make sure that you shave and use a body scrub treatment to remove any sunless tanning products prior to the procedure. The VelaShape treatment is virtually painless. You don’t need to worry about applying any type of topical pain reliever before your treatment. The great thing is that once you have your desired look, it’s extremely easy to maintain!
