I TOLD THE MASSAGE THERAPIST THAT I DIDNT WANT TO PUT MY HEAD IN THE WHOLE IN THE BED BECAUSE I COULDNT BREATHE AND SHE SAID SICNE THIS MAKES IT HARDER FOR HERE THERE WOULD BE ADDITIONAL 15.00 FEE FOR THE MASSAGE THIS WAS UNBELIEVABLE BUT I PAID IT, THEY MASSAGE WAS THE WORST EVER I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE GOING THERE NOT TO WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

I had recently got a $150 gift certificate from a friend. I tried calling Gerard's to set up an appointment multiple times. Kept getting answering machine. Left multiple messages and they never returned my call. I finally did get through with them and was able to set up an appointment. Hurricane Sandy came and I was not able to make appointment. I called back when i got power (2 weeks later) and was told that because I missed my appointment I could not make any new appointments and I could be put on a waiting list. So basically my $150 gift card was gone. Lets see if they call back. Highly doubt it. Don't put anyone through this by buying them a gift card from this company. They will find any way to screw them over.

I have sensitive skin and allergies. The products they use are not hypoallergenic even though they told me they were all natural. I broke out in hives and had trouble breathing after a very short while in the room. The masseuse put a "lavender" scent toward my nose and I almost gagged and when i told her stop, she did it again. Then when I left to try to get fresh air, they asked me for payment because I had booked the hour and their staff still had to be paid. NEVER going there again.

In over ten years of servicing the community,this is the first time a client had such a reaction to a simple massage, which we feel may have something to do with numerous medications this client was on at the time of the service as listed on her client intake form.

My daughter just gave me a gift certificate for Christmas for "SpaFinder. When I went on line to locate one near me - Gerard's The Spa came up. About 2 years ago I won a prize in the Pennysaver for a free massage and went to this spa to enjoy my prize. The first time they gave me an appointment I showed up and they said their heated table had a problem. (I'm only 150 lbs - so is wasn't my weight!) They gave me another appointment. The next time I showed up for my scheduled appt - they told me that the technician was out sick. Bottom line is - they didn't want to give me anything for free. They put an ad in the Pennysaver and then decided to take back the prize. How unfortunate that I don't trust them since that experience was very disapponting. I met the owner on one of the appointments and he showed no sympathy for my problem of not being served. He was very cold. I'd rather never go there again. Be careful if you should ever win a free anything from this spa.

As many of you know, we have been taking care of clients for the past 7 years with great results. Since we never had a pennysaver ad for a free massage, this post is not real. We have extended every available option to clients who can not be accomodated for reasons behond our control, such as a therapist who is not well, we allways more then make it up to the client, its just how we live our lives.
