In true Balinese style, Fivelements, Puri Ahimsa, awarded Destination of the Year at the 2011 AsiaSpa Awards, reflects the harmony of its surroundings and offers a sense of enchantment and renewal along the revered Ayung River, just 30 minutes from Ubud. An eco-architectural design aesthetic complements the uncomplicated beauty of the enveloping forested hillside and cascading waterfalls, and several of this healing-based sanctuary’s programming and activities — yoga, martial arts, meditation, blessing ceremonies and more — take place against the river landscape.
Guests will blossom from spa rituals rich in tradition, using nature’s elements and village remedies, and retire to one of five pavilion-housed suites, each with a private balcony and ensuite garden bathrooms. Carefully prepared vegetarian and vegan cuisine enhances the revitalizing experience.

The spa at Fivelements embraces its Balinese culture and eco-conscious philosophy, immersing guests in an authentic, holistic spa experience. Nourishing spa services use organic plant-based wild extracts — petals, harvested flowers, spices and herbs — freshly garden picked and prepared prior to treatment using ancient usadha herbal recipes in the spa’s laboratorium.
Spiritual respite stems from honored traditions like massage, energy healing, hydrotherapy, reflexology, skincare, body treatments and hair and nailcare, which can be taken in riverside treatment rooms or the beauty sanctuary area. Offerings include watsu massage and healing dance aquatic bodywork, performed in therapy and large lap pools, each outfitted with massage jets, underwater music and chromatherapy lighting.
