Nice to walk through.... that's it.By JerseyG | October 24, 2012
Pretty to look at, but leaves MUCH to be desired!!! The spa is in a very well maintained older home in Plainfield. The property and home are nicely done inside and out, and not at all what you think of when you hear "Plainfield," but the prices are extremely out of range for the area (see website)... the hours are also not clear, as I've either called or stopped by more than once according to the hours posted on the website, and no one ever seems to be there when I come by... I do pass there on a Saturday and the place seems to show a bit more signs of life on a Saturday, but I am usually running errands then and have no time to stop in. I've tried calling/stopping in on their "late nights" but again, often no one is there or no one answers the phone. I'm not really sure how they stay in business?
I'd rather go to a place where I can AFFORD to keep coming back for the services, and maintaining myself between visits with product... also worth going to a place that actually is OPEN when they say they are, and not just "by appointment or closed entirely if we're slow," which seems to be the case there even though they don't come right out and say it.

Charming Home... Disappointing Experience.By VictoriaG | January 12, 2012
The charm of the atmosphere was more enjoyable than anything else there. I did receive a body wrap, and massage. However, it's almost as if they've forgotten about the basement. The rest of the home is finished beautifully, but the basement, especially the back rooms seem to be forgotten, and the laundry door was left open during my services, so I could hear the bang of what sounded like an overly loaded washer all throughout my treatment. I did not like that I had to walk out of the room I was in to go shower, as there were others receiving mani/pedis downstairs where I was. The door that is supposed to make you feel safe as if you are in privacy from the mani/pedi common area is merely distorted glass that you would find on a shower door. There should be a curtain up over that glass. It felt uncomfortable, and took away from my relaxation. Also, the women having mani/pedis were too noisy, as if they were in a nail salon, not a spa. And my treatment was expensive. I would request a different floor of the home if I return. I have visited before, and the staff, especially the receptionist is much more attentive when the owner is present than when she is not. The old receptionist who use to be there was much sweeter.

Castle Spa is an oasisBy NJDee | January 24, 2009
Castle Spa has a wonderful atmosphere and a knowledgeable staff who are dedicated to pampering and caring for their clients. I had a manicure, pedicure, and stone massage and was delighted with all. If you are looking to relax and indulge yourself, Castle Spa is a perfect place to spend your day.

SurpriseBy Evelyn | November 10, 2007
Well, when you think of the town you may say maybe not but surprise surprise, this place is fabulous! You are met at the door by a very charming woman. After short paperwork you are escorted off to a room in a four story home that is completly converted. Very quaint, peaceful, just lovely. The staff was great and well skilled in there art. I received a facial, massage, manicure and pedicure, and was so pleased with a product used on me that I bought it. All of my services were great. I absolutely loved my time there and will return. Didn't find it to be expensive for what I received. The spa is by appointment only so that helps keep serenity to the establishment.

Day of PamperingBy crisco718 | April 5, 2007
I went to Castle Spa for a day of pampering. I had a great day. I enjoyed a body wrap, massage, reflexology, facial and lunch.
The treatments were great and lunch was delicious. Castle Spa is going to be my new addiction.

Body treatmentBy LadyV | September 22, 2006
The body treatment was nice. I didn't like that I had to walk to another room to shower off. Otherwise it was a nice experience but their prices are up in comparison to other places that are 5 star.
