Advanced Remedial Massage involves treating specific injuries through a series of techniques such as myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, mobilising joints and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stretches. Knee injuries (meniscal tears/ligament injuries), ‘frozen’ shoulder, torticollis, sciatica, rotator cuff injury and pelvic imbalances are some of the specific conditions that can be treated.

Gwen's specialised treatment combines a number of therapies to boost your circulation and alleviate symptoms caused by poor circulation, such as cold hands and feet, water retention and oedema.  You will enjoy the following: A deep tissue massage Combined with Hot Stone Therapy Finishing with an invigorating Thai Foot Massage The full treatment lasts 90 minutes.

Pregnancy Massage consists of specialised techniques which focus on the various needs of the mother-to-be. The Massage varies and adapts through-out each trimester as the body changes over the 40 week gestation period.  Generally the treatment is carried out whilst the client lies on her side and a natural or lavender fine wax is applied as the massage medium. Various stroke techniques may be used, whilst incorporating stretching and light lymphatic drainage.  This treatment can be adapted to be both a firm and therapeutic massage and/or a gentle, nurturing and relaxing massage.  Pregnancy Massage, therefore is tailored to each client and also varies considerably during each.

Sports and Remedial Massage is a great way to encourage recovery from an injury, release tension after heavy exercise, or just from general stiffness. The treatment will work deep into your muscles, stretching and relaxing them. Regular treatments will keep your muscles in good condition, partly acting as preventation against overstraining.
