I have been to the Lamar spa several times as well as other spas and this is by far the best day spa going in Arizona! The staff is knowledgable and friendly. The atmosphere is wonderful and so relaxing. I could spend every waking hour there.

I spent the whole day here with 4 friends in February to celebrate my 35th. The scheduling of services was well planned...the treatments were phenomenal...the technicians professional. I can't wait to go back!

My mom, grandma, and I went to Spa Lamar for a day of relaxation and fun. We were so happy with our time spent there. From the moment we walked in, the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We had a great time and will be returning for my bridesmaid luncheon celebration very soon!

I started going to Lamar when another spa in Scottsdale closed. I tried some other options....resort spas, Red Door etc..... but Ellen at Lamar is the BEST! I've been going to Lamar for waxing, massages and facials ever since. It's so nice to visit a spa where the owner, mgrs and everyone else are so friendly and make you feel so welcome. The people at Lamar make the experience and the services are fantastic! I visited yesterday for eyebrow waxing and found out that they were having a special for a $50 facial. It was literally the best facial I've ever had! I found the coupon on their website and was able to add the service to my appointment. The facial was GREAT and the people there were so nice. Use their website coupons and save a ton of money! The services are as good as, if not better than, Red Door, The Royal Palms etc, and they cost a lot less!

I went to Lamar in hopes of finding a nice alternative to pricey resort spas, but with a resort-like atmosphere (just what Lamar advertises). Upon entering the spa, it seemed nice enough, but upon entering the lounge area I was disappointed. The entrance to the steam room is right in the main lounge...a bit awkward. The dressing rooms have metal high-school like lockers and accordion doors that make the experience feel anything but "resort-like". For the money, I have had much better treatments in a better atmosphere.

It's hard to compete in a town full of 30 Million Dollar resort-spas. We often feel a little like David in Goliath land! As our long time guests can attest, we are constantly striving to improve everything from our services to our robes. We had a Baby Shower at The Lamar and it was perfect! We did the Diva for a Day Package and I couldn't believe how much we got for $135. Massages, facials, manicures and lunch in a really cool event room that had outdoor seating on a covered patio too. My sister, the mom-to-be, even got a crystal tiara. She wore it all day with her spa robe so everyone treated her like a queen all day. I am already making plans to come back here for my birthday.

My daughter and I went away for a weekend to Scottsdale. As soon as we arrived at our hotel, we called the Lamar Everyday Spa -chosen because the Doubletree recommended it and it was nearby. Staff at desk was confused-cancelled one of our scheduled services because someone had called in sick...then tried to blame us saying they should not have scheduled mini services by phone. Waiting area had half full cups and glasses sitting around that needed to be cleared. Girl who showed us around gave no info on appt times, etc or our schedule for day. Daughter had to go look for someone for her facial appt after waiting past scheduled time for someone to come and get her. ENTIRE salon seemed focused on a photo shoot that day and that was priority over scheduled clients. I will say that JOSH gave me an incredible massage...but rest of staff needs help.

We have grown, since your visit, and we are now the largest privately owned resort-style spa in Arizona. Oh and Josh is still giving incredible massages!

I had a facial and body massage at Lamar and found the whole experience to be great. The folks were very nice and provided good information about skin care. I was able to add on a massage the day of my service. They also had a line of unique products, some of which I decided to purchase. The facility even had a pool to relax in after the treatment!

Hello Danielle, If you liked our spa in 2006, you should see it now! It is three times as big and twice as nice. In addition to the pool, you can relax in the steam room, sauna & whirlpool. We also have a hair salon, yoga studio, art gallery and banquet room. We still have the same great staff and unique products and love seeing old friends like you!
