    Balensi's Institute of Skin Care features four treatment rooms in addition to a Vichy shower. Its comfortable, homey facility is designed to promote relaxation and serenity. The spa offers more than 55 treatments such as massage, body treatments, and reflexology that incorporate Sothy's products. Signature therapies include a European Facial, Four-Layered Facial, and Stone Massage. Chemical peels and acne-fighting procedures are also available. Wear something beautiful everyday...your skin. Was given spa finder gift certs for my 50th birthday. Made appt online and was called right away to confirm appt. She asked for credit card info, I told her my story and would be paying with spa finder gift certs and asked if that was accepted for the special on massage and facial for that week. She said yes. Was so excited to get treatments. Had facial with Lorena. She never had me fill out any client info or asked about allergies, etc. Basically through the entire treatment she never once spoke to me. It was rushed...lots of noise with water and heels in background, but the clincher was when she just walked out of room for 10-15min without a word. I lay there stressed wondering what was burning on my skin and when she was coming back. Massage was better. Never got a facial massage with the facial?? Went to pay and Lorena refused the spa finder gift certs. I explained I had asked and it was confirmed by her staff I could use it for the services I booked when I made the appt. She said would ask the owner. I knew she was one of them. She came back and said her employee should have known better and that it was not their fault, I could use those certs somewhere else??? Ouch! I was made to pay $120, so unethical!

Responding to your comment, I've been working as an aesthetician for ten years and this is the first time someone lived the spa unhappy, when you booked your appointment , you asked for the special of that week, the treatments of the special were Orange Peel, Swedish massage and Eyelashes extensions; You choose the Orange Peel which normal price is $85 you paid $50 and Swedish massage normal price $75 you paid $50. The receptionist over the phone explained to you what is an Orange Peel and since that is the active ingredient I supposed that you didn't have allergies to oranges, normally I don't talk in the room unless you start to talk, I like to let relax my clients, I have loyal clients that come since ten years ago, and they are always happy, I've been trained by dermatologist as Doctor Obagi, Doctor Murad and I'm always learning, is important you know as an aesthetician we have to use a lot the water during the treatment and orange peel is not a relaxing European facial that we also do in the spa, anyway I apologized and please let me know how can I satisfy you.

Cute place, relaxing atmosphere, great massage.

I got a deep tissue massage and was very happy with it. The location is easy to find, metered parking, but the price is reasonable. The atmosphere was very relaxed and cute. Staff was very very friendly and helpful.

Decided to try this spa since they're having these great specials. Had a facial and it was fine, nothing that extraordinary. I'm use to having a little more a massage on my neck and shoulders when getting facials. The place is very cute, nice & clean, and the staff are very nice. Plenty of stret parking, but you have to pay either at a meter or a lot across the street. I will most likely go back and try a massage.

I went during spa finder week for a microdermabrasion facial and massage and I walked out of there feeling so good. My face felt really smooth and my body so relaxed. I stopped by my sister's in laws work down the street right after and told them about it and they made appointments for the next day. I really love this place and the people are so friendly.

I took advantage of the spaweek deal and checked out this spa. I was impressed when I walked in, the spa feel I felt right away. The nice, fresh scent of a lemon. Lorena, the co-owner did my facial. She was very experienced on skincare, so I felt comfortable right away. Although she didn't remove my black head when I specifically told her I have one. I didn't see it until I got home. I felt she got cheap on putting products on me. I've been to different spas before where they would cleanse, exfoliate, steam and put all the products after...but she didn't. I didn't think she put any sunblock, serum or even moisturizer on my face. It felt the session was short. Maybe because it was discounted? Although I was very satisfied on my massage which was done by Dora. She was a very pleasant lady and knew exactly what she was doing. I would give this place another chance if there is another deal.

I just had a massage today and it was wonderful. I decided to go to this place due to the reviews and found it was a great decision. The atmosphere was nice and calm. From the minute I entered i was greeted by a charming receptionist, was offered water and shortly after was taken to the massage room. The masseuse was very nice. She talked enough to make me feel comfortable in a new location, yet not too much that it interrupted the ability to relax. I would definitely recommend this location. It is reasonably priced for the services you receive and the staff is great. I even received a little good bye/thank you gift! I will definitely be returning to see Felicia again

I chose Balensi spa for my massage based on comments from previous clients and I was not dissapointed. I was treated to such a wonderful, relaxing deep tissue massage, I did not want to leave when it was over. The service was wondeful and the ambiance is relaxing and inviting from the moment you walk in. The cookies and treats are just cherry on the top. I would highly recommend this little jewel hidden in the middle of downtown Chula Vista. I am just sorry I didn't know about it sooner. I invite you to give Balensi Spa a try. I promise you will not be dissapointed...from a very satisfied customer.

Im a single working mom and i'm not able to schedule stuff far in advance. I really, really needed a massage. I showed up on a Friday afternoon and they were able to take me in last minute. The combo massage was GREAT. I used a Spafinder gift card and was able to pay for the massage and tip with it. The staff was wonderful. I will definately go back. I told all my girlfriends in CHula Vista about it.

I CAME TO THIS SPA FOR LAZER HAIR REMOVAL. I HAVE ALREADY BEEN TO 4 OTHER DIFFERENT SPA FOR THE SAME PROCEDURE. I CAN HONESTLY TELL YOU THAT THIS WAS BY FAR THE BEST. LORENA TAKES EXTRA CARE TO MAKE YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE. I HAVE ALREADY RECOMMENDED 2 PEOPLE HERE AND THEY BOTH AGREED WITH ME THAT THIS WAS ALSO THE BEST PLACE THEY HAVE BEEN TO.
