RELAX
The atmosphere is great, the people are wonderful and it will leave you nothing short of relaxed!

I went to the spa for both a basic 60 minute massage and a 60 minute facial. I was ushered into the spa area, removed from the salon (my usual salon) which was not as 'peaceful' as I anticipated. The music was too loud, the 'relaxation area' was small with uncomfortable furniture. But more importantly, the massage and facials were good but not great. I left the massage feeling not overally relaxed - I asked for more pressure but got little additional. The facial I left relax, but in standard fashion actually broke out afterwards. Also the facialist made me feel a little uncortable at times, almost judging. Weird - it could have just been me!

Okay for an Aveda spa
I have been here for a massage & haircut...the service was just okay for the price; the locker area was very unkempt; several of the service rooms were small.

Poor customer service
As a mother of two, I rarely get out and do anything for myself. I had a spa finder gift certificate and chose Asha Salonspa in Bucktown to have a facial. The facial was great as was the technician. When I checked out, it was less than expected, but a quick glance at my receipt showed a coupon for 50%. I thought that was very nice and was a little added pleasure for my birthday (the previous day). While on our way to dinner, I received a call from the salon that they had charged me incorrectly and that I needed to bring in my spa finder certificate and pay $12.50 by phone. I paid the amount and said I would bring in the certificate when I could. I had company the next day and was not able to take it to the salon. On Sunday, my son came down with a 103 degree fever and I was unable to leave the house as I was the only one home. They called Sunday and I said I would try to bring it in. His fever continued to Monday. They called Monday morning and asked if I could bring it in. I said my husband would be home by 7:30 or 8:00 and I would bring it then. They preceeded to call back and say that they needed a credit card in case I didn't show. I refused to give them one. I asked my cleaning lady to watch my son so I could take them their certificate. I am very disappointed that a nice experience that I feel I deserved turned into such a hassle and upsetting experience. They never offered anything for my inconvenience and were a little snotty on the phone. The facial I chose was one that suggested a series of four treatments, which I had fully intended on purchasisng. I will not be revisiting this salon and will take my business to one of the 100 other salons that offer the same if not better services.
