Serendipity Spa is a warm and friendly atmosphere. I originally went in for an interview and didn't get the job, but that didn't stop me from returning for some of their services. I was just blown away by their employees.

Spa is in little town, but has a big city feel- it's warm and homey on the inside, has a wine/mimosa/etc bar built inside with a fireplace, a beautiful nook for pedicures. My mom and I had a spa day and we had a different experience in each room! It was awesome, I would highly recommend it!

Do not be hesitant because of the problems from the "fire." During this very short time the temporary place was indeed cramped and not at its best...but...that was almost three years ago!
I have been going to Serendipity for five years and have so many positive experiences than I can recall them all.
The reception staff is top notch and the appointment schedules are always prompt. The technicians are well trained and very professional. The atmosphere downstairs (nails and hair) is fun yet relaxed and upstairs (facial, massages etc.) is tranquil and perfect.
Earlier this year I moved 45 minutes away and still make the trek back to Serendipity every couple of months for the best facial in MI.
Give them a try and you will be happy you did!

Do not go here for waxingBy ShannonB | June 6, 2010

I went to this spa for a Brazilian, full leg, and underarm wax, I spent over $125. This was the worst waxing jobs I've had in the US, there are huge patches of hair left, and the outside of my right thigh is virtually untouched. Further, the woman doing the waxing was unable to remove a lot of hair in the Brazilian. Perhaps improving the lighting in the room would help. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. It seems like a wonderful place for other services. However, I would not recommend them for waxing.

I just visited this spa 2 days ago and I already cannot wait to go back! It was so relaxing and everything I was stressed out about just flew away. I understand they had a fire awhile ago, but they obviously made the best of it and pulled themselves together. I couldn't imagine the stress they must have felt knowing they weren't giving their customers exactly what they knew they were capable of without being given the facilities needed. Forgive them, ask for Jordan, and GO BACK!

Dear Debbie Downer,
I'm certain they informed you that they were under construction, (huge fire in case you missed it) because they let me know while making the appt, and I only received a simple, fast service.
This company went through a very, very bad set back. It has only been a year since the fire. Support local, small business..don't kick them when they're down.
Sad but true.. gift certs do expire, because prices change, services change. Though I can only assume, by example and tone of your review, that you and yours came across very kind, and understanding when you were complaining about the expiration issue.
My service went well, though considering the construction I plan to wait until it is done to return. Overall, the receptionist was adorable, the tech was great and I'll be back soon. Thanks and CHIN UP Serendipity!

DELUXE Spa PackageBy Briellesmom | May 6, 2008

I recently visited Serendipity Spa on April 26, 2008. The manager was very nice she allowed me to use my gift certificate past its due date.( I would't think it should ever expire esp. since we paid almost $200 for it).I was hesitant to visit this spa since a year ago when my husband purchased it they had a terrible fire and we asked for our money back. The point of getting a spa treatment is meant for you to determine to use it when you want to go. My appointment just happened to fall on the weekend of memorial day weekend and they were still closed. Anyways my husband spoke with the owner with whom was very rude and not
understanding why we wanted to go else where. Enough said I had to use the gift certificate and was horribly displeased. The only thing this placed had was nice women working for them. It is totally under construction I was never relaxed when I was getting my toes and nails done they have you cramped in a room to sizes to small. The massage rooms were temporary so they were poorly constructed the massage therapist had to move my table to move around. To top it off they got me lunch and there was no where for me to sit. they wanted to put me at table in the middle of this already cramped room. I just wanted to get out of there. Except for the nice girl who did my facial and my nails. I would wait to go to this spa once there remodel is done. The owner never made eye contact with me she knew who I was and I know the staff knew who I was. Oh well I learned my lesson dont always believe the reviews on web sites take it from word of mouth. you may not believe this review so go ahead and take a chance.

Charming Spa great for Girlfriends Night Out!By SilkySmoothFeet | July 24, 2007

Serendipity Day Spa had just recoverd from a devastating fire in which they lost EVERYTHING! They moved just down the road and opened for business in a little over a week!! My friends and I went to have a "girlfriends night out" and LOVED it! They offer 10% off to pedicure parties of three or more and complimentary wine! My friends and I laughed and gossiped in their shiatsu massage pedicure chairs as their nail technicians made our feet silky smooth! The quaint, charming atmosphere topped it off. The staff was friendly, funny, and very accomadating. We can't wait to get babysitters and go back for more! Thanks Serendipity! You are truly an inspiration to all for getting back on your feet after watching your dreams burn! Good luck.

I received a gift certificate for an "Ultimate Escape" for my birthday from my husband. I was so excited about the 5 hours of pampering, but little did I know it'd be much more than that. The staff kindly greated me and treated me as if they had known me forever! The hot stone massage by Megan was phenomenal as well as the relaxing pedicure and manicure by Sarah. My face has never felt better after my hour long facial with Julie!! I have never felt so calm and rejuvenated before in my life. I think that every woman should take a day to pamper themselves at Serendipity Day Spa. Once I found out how much this package was, I was shocked. I received a whole day of pampering (and a delicious lunch) for only $249!! Most spas in our area charge way more than that!! Thank you so much to the staff of Serendipity Day Spa for such a truly relaxing day!! I'll be back!!!
