    Founded in 1980, European Skincare Institute provides medical spa, skin, and body care treatments for men and women of all ages. The 4,500-square-foot spa has modern, elegant, European-inspired interiors and 12 treatment rooms.

    The spa's focus is on anti-aging treatments and skin rejuvenation, with an emphasis on clinical and client education. Services include a range of massage modalities; body treatments such as wraps, polishes, glows, and cellulite treatments; facial therapies; hand and foot treatments; lash and brow tinting; makeup application and lessons; laser hair removal; and waxing.

    Clients can also select from a variety of clinical skin-care services such as photorejuvenation; Accent® RF, a treatment that reduces cellulite and skin laxity by controlled thermal heating; Bio-Visage skin rejuvenation treatments; medical microdermabrasion; chemical peels; oxygen treatments; acne treatments; dermaplaning; facial muscular therapy, an alternative to medical face- and neck-lifts; and Pixel Fractional Skin Resurfacing. Botox®, sclerotherapy and collagen injections are also available.

    Some of the spa's recent offerings are the Tropical Body Wrap, which combines mango, passion fruit, and vitamin C to rejuvenate the skin, the Tropical Citrus Manicure and Pedicure, in which the hands and feet are treated to a citrus scrub, a foot mask, and a tropical citrus massage, and the Cucumber Manicure and Pedicure, which incorporates a sugared cumber scrub, foot mask, and cucumber massage.

    European Skincare Institute uses products from around the world in its treatments, including Cellex-C, Laboratoire Dr. Renaud, Nailtiques, Pevonia, Safe Tan, Tend Skin, Dr. Schrammeck, Obagi, Nu-Derm, Jane Iredale, Revitalash, and its own signature product line.

    A number of packages are on the menu with the most luxurious offering, the Executive Package, lasting four-and-a-half hours and featuring a Deluxe Facial, a 55-minute Classic Swedish Massage, spa lunch, spa manicure, and spa pedicure.

    In 2009 the spa won the Readers' Choice Awards sponsored by the Fort Worth Star Telegram for "Best Day Spa" and "Best Facial" in Tarrant County and was voted "Best Extreme Makeover," "Best Day of Pampering, "Best Massage," and "Best Laser Hair Removal" by Fort Worth, Texas magazine.

    Clients can schedule complimentary skin-care, body-care, and cosmetic-surgery consultations, and the spa hosts events for corporate, wedding, and other special occasions.

I recently booked an appointment for a spa manicure and pedicure. The entire experience was lovely. My nail technician was professional, courteous, and friendly. The mani/pedi itself was fairly routine, but I appreciated the quiet environment. A spa manicure and pedicure is a treat, and it was nice to relax without TVs or people talking on their cell phones. Very nice indeed.

I have enjoyed several pedicures at the European Skincare Institute in the past few years. Their service is excellent and I enjoy the staff immensely. They make me feel welcome, at home, and at ease. I look forward to a spa manicure later this week. I know I won't be disappointed if the experience is similar to what I have had in the past. I especially enjoy being able to relax after the treatment in a calm room with a cup of tea or cucumber water. I've never been rushed out, but always allowed to relax completely before leaving.
