  Dermalounge is a professional skin health center located in Burlingame. The skin health spa's highly trained and licensed staff perform technologically advanced laser skin-care treatments and spa therapies incorporating medical-grade products. This 1,850-square-foot (172-square-meter) facility with sleek urban décor provides a laid-back, tranquil environment complete with luxury amenities such as heated beds and down comforters in all four treatment rooms.

  Dermalounge health professionals guide clients through the process of understanding, selecting, and receiving Dermalounge skin treatments. After treatments, they help choose the best home care products. Our staff works closely with clients to maximize the benefits of their skin and beauty treatments.

  Advanced skin-care treatments at Dermalounge include IPL (intense pulsed light) photo-rejuvenation facials, photodynamic therapy (an IPL procedure utilizing photosensitive lotion that is particularly effective for acne sufferers), Botox® and dermal filler injections, and laser hair removal. The spa exclusively uses the Lumenis One platform for comfortable, no-downtime rejuvenation of photo-damaged skin. Laser hair removal is facilitated by Lumenis LightSheer technology, which freezes skin as the laser is applied for minimal discomfort during treatment. A suite of advanced amino acid peels is specially designed for clients wishing to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, or signs of sun damage.

  The spa offers a skin firming procedure that is meant to improve skin texture and elasticity. As people age skin begins to sag, especially around the jowls, the neck and the chest because of collagen depletion, and this skin firming process is virtually painless and has no down time.

The Dermalounge staff consists of highly trained, knowledgeable, and passionate, clinicians who never lose sight of each client's unique needs and goals. All Dermalounge staff members are licensed in California and have been trained to perform Dermalounge's advanced treatments.

The spa's medical director, Eric Hisaka, M.D., is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery.

Skin concierges guide clients through the process of understanding, selecting, and receiving Dermalounge skin treatments. After treatments, they help choose the best home care products. Skin concierges work closely with skin care therapists and medical practitioners so clients can maximize the benefits of their skin and beauty treatments.

Skin care therapists are licensed aestheticians who administer the Dermalounge facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peel treatments, and waxing services.

Medical practitioners are licensed nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who provide the advanced Photodynamic Therapy and Photorejuvenavtion facial treatments, laser hair removal services, Botox®, and dermal filler injections.
