  Classic elegance and signature St. Regis service embrace visitors of the St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort, which affords regal views of both the dark blue sea and of the Tramuntana mountain range's craggy peaks. Located on the southwestern side of Spain's island Mallorca, near the east coast of the Iberian Peninsula, the resort complements the design aesthetic of the Balearic Islands and is home to the colossal Arabella Spa, where treatments are guided by western and eastern therapies, including traditional Chinese medicine. The resort hosts a total of 133 rooms: 44 Grand Deluxe Rooms, 80 Junior Suites and nine one- and two-bedroom suites, some of which feature a private swimming pool or a Jacuzzi. Guests interested in exploring the local area will enjoy the short stroll to the Puerto Portals yacht marina, or can take advantage of the resort’s limousine services, which provide transfers to the capital city of Palma, just a few miles away.

  The St. Regis Mardavall is closed from November 27 through January 12.

Arabella Spa is Thalasso Spa and Wellness Center's first location in the Balearic Islands and, at 50,591 square feet, is also Europe's largest spa facility. It hosts heated indoor and outdoor pools, three saunas, private terraces, and fourteen treatments rooms, three of which are dedicated to Thalasso, Ayurveda, and traditional Chinese medical treatments.

Arabella Spa offers a personalized, holistic approach to its therapies and treatments. A decadent setting enables guests to relax pre-treatment on plush chairs amidst soft Mediterranean colors. Hydrobaths, marine extract wraps, acupuncture, and scrubs, along with a full menu of Ayurveda, shiatsu, tui na, Swedish, and sport massages, are but a few of the many procedures available. Heated waterbeds and mud treatments soothe, while the thalasso bath swaths the body in invigorating cool seawater. Procedures are geared towards both men and women and also include exfoliating treatments, stone massage, and reflexology. Exclusive Anne Semonine & St. Barth products and therapies are used for caviar facials, body firming techniques, and more. Post-treatment, the spa offers Wellness Gourmet specialty cuisine, jam-packed with nutritious, healthy ingredients, in Aqua restaurant.

All are decorated with Spanish flavor and feature capacious marble bathrooms, cutting-edge office equipment, and hand-made furniture. An even greater degree of comfort is available in the 80 junior suites, 4 executive suites, and 3 royal suites--not to mention the Mardavall Diamond Suite with its own whirlpool and steam bath. Little things like 300-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets, goose-down and hypo-allergenic pillows, plush bathrobes, and a free daily newspaper make for a welcome respite. Butler service is available 24 hours a day.

For diners, Es Fum provides stellar Mediterranean gourmet cuisine, an extensive wine list, and astounding sunset views of the shoreline. Churchill's Lounge offers fine cigars, in addition to exquisite cognac, calvados, and whiskey. For poolside snacks and drinks, Bar Es Vent and Bar Sa Badia both offer tapas and other light fare. A large outdoor pool surrounded by lounge chairs, umbrellas, and a well-manicured lawn is ideal for a swim or a nap, while three nearby golf courses are perfect for those looking to burn some energy. Only 15 minutes away, golf lovers will revel in the tepid temperatures, clear skies, and salty breezes of the seaside Golf Son Muntaner, a Kurt Rossknecht design inaugurated in 2000, and F.W. Hawtree's forty-year-old Son Vida Golf Course, with its tree-lined fairways and breathtaking views of the bay of Palma. The third course, Son Quint Golf, has 18 holes among pine and olive trees. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle to each.
