I received Spafinder vouchers as a gift from my finance and was keen to redeem the vouchers in St Albans. The process of calling and arranging an appointment was easy & pain free (compared to dealing with other salons in London). I was very pleased to receive a telephone call the day prior confirming my appointment and requesting me to arrive 10 minutes earlier to complete paperwork as a first timer to this spa.My herbal facial experience was nice. I was happy with the blend of products used on my face, the facial massage technique was comfortable and relacing, and overall I had a good experience. I would only comment on the fact that the water used with the sponges on my face wasn't very warm. Although the bowl of water was changed once through my session, the water was colder than what I'd like with a facial. The treatment room I was in was also relatively cool in temperature.If you are seeking an experience in St Albans area to have to have nice facial, I would recommend The Cove Spa. Many thanks again!
As a present to my boyfriend I took him for a Thai oil massage at the Cove Spa. It’s a great location as it’s right near the market area which kept me occupied while he enjoyed a bit of pampering. As part of a special offer he received complimentary use of the infra-red sauna which he said was lit only by candles and was a good way to begin unwinding for the treatment to follow. The therapist was very thorough and he was massaged from head to toe; she could tell that he didn’t smoke but that he needed to cut back on the alcohol, just from the energies he was giving off, which is pretty amazing! My boyfriend was very impressed with his massage; he felt that the treatment was very personal to him and that he had the therapist’s undivided attention - from the moment he walked into the spa and until he left it was all about him. I’m very glad that I chose to take him to the Cove Spa and as he speaks so highly of the treatment I guess it’s my turn to go next!
The Cove Spa is the Thai haven at the heart of St Albans. Friendly atmosphere, beautiful decor and authentic treatment rooms add to the experience. My treatment was the Thai Oil Massage with Mona, which was just what I needed. She is wonderful, professional and definitely an expert in what she is doing. Anyone looking for a truly well-being massage should book in! All in all a 5 star experience in beautiful surroundings, friendly atmosphere and great location!
