The Atlantis Resort and Casino, located on Paradise Island, near Nassau, caters to family vacationers, with a rich array of amenities on land and sea. Guests can spend their time on the golf course or tennis courts, in the shops or nightclubs, or splash within the fresh and saltwater pools, lagoons and waterfalls. A variety of restaurants and accommodation options are available, including the famous Royal Towers; the airy lobby leads guests to some of the resort’s main attractions, including an on-site casino, waterpark and the largest open-air marine habitat worldwide. Here guests will also find the spa, where they can unwind with European and Balinese rituals, followed by relaxation time in the warm and cold plunge pools or steam and sauna rooms.

In alluring Balinese charm, the Spa at Atlantis is a 32,000-square-foot facility with 33 treatment rooms, including two couple's villas and four couple's spa suites with private bathing amenities. There is also a unisex relaxation lounge, a full-service salon and retail area selling Bliss, Elemis and La Therapie products. Following treatments, spa-goers can spend the day “taking the waters,” alternating between the warm and cold plunge pools, steam and sauna rooms and showers in the men’s and women’s locker areas; highlights include an aromatherapy room in the women’s locker room and a plasma TV in the men’s lounge room.
Treatments combine classic European therapies with a twist of Balinese healing techniques. Offerings include Elemis and La Therapie facials, massage, teeth whitening services, cellulite therapies and wraps. Children as young as three are welcome to the spa for kid-friendly fruity facial, surfers scrub and magical manicure treatments.
The spa includes a 10,000-square-foot fitness center offering personal training, spinning, aerobics, detoxification seminars, yoga and Pilates.

Two weekends ago I enjoyed a wonderful mini-facial at Mandara Spa. My therapist not only listened to my extensive list of questions but made me feel immediately at ease and gave me great insight on my skin and some things I could do to help it look even better. Her touch was absolutely perfect and gentle on my face and the arm massage included was firm and instantly had me feeling relaxed. I left feeling refreshed and glowing and I cannot wait to get to Atlantis again to enjoy Mandara Spa and all it as to offer!!

Visited for a massage in February. took abt 20mins to check in but we had arrived early so we still had a few mins to relax before the appt. the plunge pool room was flooded so we werent allowed in that area and it was very noisy/messy while they worked on it. staff was frazzeld. took a while before we were brought to the upstairs waiting area, but the space was really nice once we got there. coed, very open, nicely decorated and fully stocked with dried fruit and bottled water. my therapist was just okay, pretty bland massage, i was expecting more from the Atlantis, but didnt let it bother me tho bc I was on vacation. Afterwards we went back down to the steam rooms/plunge pool area, now that it was reopened. it apparently wasnt sterlized bc i got a terrible rash all over my limbs that had been exposed to the hot tub and plunge pool water. it showed up the overnight and took several weeks to fully clear, confirmed by a nurse few days later that it was a typical rash people get after being exposed to a dirty hot tub. while this may have been a one-off experience bc of the flooding issue that day, i am concerned that they do not have higher standards for cleanliness. Nice ambiance and amenities, okay staff, but never again for me!

I may have had a different opinion had I been able to book any appointments, but the customer service at the front desk was so inefficient that after 22 minutes of waiting in a line serviced by one person, my husband and I walked out. We waited our turn, then forfeited our turn so the desk person could check in the couple behind us. We were confident that we would be next, but another couple that was helped earlier resurfaced and the desk person continued to wait on them while we stood there in amazement. No explanation. POOR SERVICE!! LACK OF HOSPITALITY!! I am a frequent spa goer and have never left more stressed out than when I arrived!
This time I did!

It was my first time at the spa and I was alone. I felt a little isolated at first, but soon felt very comfortable. The atmosphere was lush and relaxing. They provided everything that you could need and made available the facilities for as long as you wanted. I chose to stay a while just relaxing with a cup of tea and quiet.
The massage was professional and extremely tailored to my needs.
I was asked many questions on a questionnaire as well as verbally. I had specific areas that I wanted concentration because I am a runner and tend to carry a lot of stress in my upper back. They accommodated me.
I cannot wait to return again this year.

The Mandara Spa is located quite a long way from the front entrance of the hotel. Be prepared to walk. I felt as though I waited a long time before someone came to get me from the first waiting room, then I waited in another room for a long time, then escorted to a large co-ed waiting room, which made me somewhat uncomfortable. The massage itself was so-so. I waited over an hour and I was transported from waiting area to waiting area. I had requested a swedish massage which was much too deep and a head massage which was much too light. I wondered if my therapist had to be licensed in the Bahamas. She didn't seem to use the same movements as many other massages I have had in the past. I felt it was overpriced but I must say it is a beautiful spa. If you are coming in from a cruise ship, it is definitely better than you will experience on the ship, and they won't pressure you to buy their products!
