Opened in 2000, Mandarin Oriental, Miami, brings the brand's tradition of Asian luxury and serenity to the South Beach scene. Located on Brickell Key along the shores of Biscayne Bay, the waterfront property sits on a private island and is within easy reach of Miami's famed nightlife and downtown area.

An adjacent beach club, an exclusive stretch of seafront, flexible meeting and event venues, an infinity-edge pool, and kids' club are among the hotel's amenities. The Spa at the Mandarin Oriental, Miami, provides its own exotic setting, complemented by an international, holistic-inspired menu; the tri-level complex also offers 17 private treatment rooms, a full-service fitness center, and a boutique. The lounges were completely redesigned in 2010, and treatment rooms are complemented by spacious Spa Suites on the second level, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Biscayne Bay. Adding to the hotel's stylish vibe are panoramic sea and city views that can be enjoyed from the martini bar, the six VIP spa suites, and the chic guest rooms, which were also remodeled in 2010.

Designed with subtle accents of bamboo, rice paper, and glass decor, the Spa at Mandarin Oriental, a Forbes Travel Guide Five Star-award winner, offers a tranquil, soothing ambience. The 15,000-square-foot spa occupies three levels, with 17 private treatment rooms, including six VIP suites—two couple's suites, two Thai massage suites, and two private suites with sunken tubs—with unparalleled views of the bay. Separate men's and women's facilities were completely renovated in 2010 and include new sauna and steam areas, as well as experience showers.

The holistic spa menu draws inspiration from traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicines. In addition to a range of body treatments, facials, nail care, and teen-tailored services, the spa offers signature Mandarin Oriental staples such as Oriental Harmony, Time Rituals™, and the Kundalini Journey, a 120-minute ritual combining several massage techniques with color and sound therapies. Outdoor massages are offered in private cabanas at the hotel's beach club. Guests reserving two or more hours of treatments in one of the Spa Suites will receive an additional 20 minutes of relaxation time.

I love this spa. The second time around was actually even better than the first. At the moment the spa is being renovated and that was sort of an awkward plus because guests are being automatically given a step up in the suites. Everyone has the utmost respect and service was great all around. It's plush without a doubt and the crew is very experienced. Drawbacks are the rather small pool and hot tub area.

I followed my former Massuse when he transferred from another facility to this one. His expertise is renowned and I was thrilled by the facility. The prices are steep, but the chance to run into a celebrity (like Madonna) is priceless. The private rooms are wonderful and the attention makes you feel like an "A" lister yourself!

This is without a doubt one of my favorite spas in Miami. From the location to the service and atmosphere you could not ask for more. They had suites you can book that overlook the Bay. It is just beautifula nd breathtaking. The staff is great and professional. The massages are unbelievable. This is the place to go if you want to relax completly.

The reason i visited the Spa at the Manderin Oriental was because my mother invited me to go with her. I had the deep cleansing facial, and it was amazing!!! The staff was very warm & helpful. If I would be able to afford it, I would definitly go more often for treatments.

You are greeted by friendly staff that brings a tray to take your shoes at the front door. She offers you a beverage. This place has the most peaceful relaxation room in the shower area that I have been to. The massage therapist really knows how to get you to relax. I do not like going somewhere noisy. This place is so peaceful and dimly lit. I heard from other guests that the in room couple massages are excellent.

I booked a spa treatment room with sweeping glass windows looking on Biscayne Bay for my first visit to this great spa. There is a tub and shower on a platform looking out over the bay. All my services took place within this room. No padding about from room to room here. I had a Lomi Lomi massage which was incredibly relaxing and a very gentle but deep cleansing facial. My treatments were done by the same woman. The initial foot cleansing ritual is a way to focus on what you really need in the way of treatment instead of just what you want. I thought it was a nice approach but would require some intuition from the treatment person, something many spas would have trouble providing. The hotel is fabulous as well with an awesome restaurant: Azul. What an oasis in the middle of Miami.
