SpaFinder Appoints Catherine Staub as Business Development Manager for France

March 2008

SpaFinder, the leading online spa marketing company, has announced the appointment of Catherine Staub as Business Development Manager for France. This appointment follows the launch of SpaFinder France and the company’s ongoing effort to grow its position in the €30billion global spa industry by localising the business model in key EU markets.

Previously, Ms. Staub was the Managing Partner of Vitapeps, a company specialising in concepts design and marketing development for enterprises in the wellness, luxury and leisure industry. She worked with high-end French brands Caudalie and Nuxe and was responsible for the development of their spa strategy and conducting the operational launch of their spas in Europe. In addition, Staub set up the communication strategy and marketing development for the popular Curves franchise in France.

Prior to Vitapeps, she held the position of Key Accounts Director for Publicis Consulting, where she managed HR communication strategy and developed the “Conciergerie” concept (services provided to employees) for Deloitte & Touche. She began her career at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting and conducted CRM, TQM and Change Enablement projects with big caps in a variety of industries, including cosmetic, automotive, retail and banking.

As SpaFinder’s Business Development Manager, Staub is responsible for developing the French market for SpaFinder, building relationships with spa partners and rolling out SpaFinder’s popular spa gifting programme.

“I’m thrilled to join SpaFinder at such a pivotal moment in the growth of the company and the industry as a whole. SpaFinder has made a huge impact on building the awareness of the health and wellness sector in every region they’ve entered and I have no doubt that the same will be done in France,” said Catherine. “I look forward to developing the market and offering spas the opportunity to participate in SpaFinder’s successful web-based marketing and spa gifting programmes.”

“Our European growth means that SpaFinder will be expanding its presence into our 5 key markets – UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy - throughout 2008,” said Kevin Turnbull, Chief Executive of SpaFinder EMEA. “Catherine’s vast experience within both the spa sector and gifting markets in France makes her the perfect addition to our team.”

Ms Staub has a MBA from the ESCP-EAP, European School of Management, Paris, France.
