Founded more than 30 years ago, the Champneys brand is world-renowned for its luxury health resorts offering the ultimate health and wellbeing experience. Champneys' four luxury spa resorts are nestled in the rural tranquillity of the English countryside and offer deliciously-balanced cuisine made from fresh ingredients and state-of-the-art fitness facilities offering personal training, health appraisals and a range of activies to suit all abilities.
Henlow Grange, Champneys' first spa resort was founded in the 1980s. With a history of over 50 years as a health farm, the property has been a centre of peace for centuries. Cistercian Monks once occupied The Grange, building the spectacular weir on the River Hiz that flows close to the house today.
In 1990 Champneys purchased Springs Health Farm in Leicestershire. As their success continued they expanded the company once again, purchasing Forest Mere in 1995 which subsequently won Spa of the Year two years running. The stunning Hotel de la Paix in Champery, Switzerland was purchased in 1998 and, to complete the spa portfolio, Tring was acquired in 2002.
Continuing the success of the brand, 2008 saw the opening of seven Champneys Town & City spas across the UK, taking the Champneys philosophy to the high street - offering luxury treatment rooms and pampering therapies in a relaxed shopping environment.
Inspired by Champneys’ premier therapists, the Champneys Spa Collection was launched in 2004. Formulated using the finest quality natural ingredients and blended with the latest technical innovations, the collection includes products for bath and body, skincare, mens, manicure/pedicure, candles and room fragrances and a fabulous selection of gifts.
