I went to Mandara Spa at the Grand Californian Hotel for a facial and massage. It was excellent!! The hotel is easy to find and has valet parking, which the spa will validate for you. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and the spa is a short walk from the valet area. Once I arrived, I was greeted courteously and immediately by Marco at the front desk as well as Ernest Sanchez, the Spa Director. I was led to an area where I could change into a robe and slippers, and given a locker for my personal items.
I waited for my aestitician in the waiting area, which was quiet and peaceful, with aromatherapy and calming music, and completely private. Water with lemons and limes, decaf iced tea, and fruit were provided.
It was a very short wait. Melissa, my aestitician came to get me. I was very pleased with the facial and her demeanor was excellent. My skin is still soft, smooth, and hydrated a couple days later.
Next, it was time for my massage. Monique worked on me (Balinese massage) and it was excellent. I still feel relaxed two days later.
After my facial and massage, I sat in the steam room for several minutes and alternated with the sauna. The aromatherapy on my back from the massage was amazing!!
I would visit this business again? Yes
