I came to the spa an hour early to take advantage of the Aquvana experience using their suggested menu. I think my system had a healthy shock after the cold experiential rains and it prepared my body to receive a deep, healing 80-minute cupping massage. If you have never experienced cupping massage, it supercharges your circulation, works deeply to loosen scar tissue and adhesions, and generally leaves you feeling detoxed and ready for deep sleep. You need to drink a lot of the water afterward and take another turn through the showers, saunas, igloo, and whirlpool. The salt grotto was fair but the zero-gravity chill-room was something I wish I could duplicate at home. There are a lot of excellent tea, snack, and flavored water choices not to mention a number of energetic, health, and wellness treatments not available in other area spas. So far, it is my favorite spa in Las Vegas!

I have been twice: once for a Fiji massage (was supposed to have been reflexology but therapist called in sick) and again for the foot and leg therapy. Both good treatments although did not receive a locker for the second visit. Changing area is a big bathroom. Whirlpool, sauna, and waiting area is co-ed so clothing is mandatory. It is not as swank as one might expect given the location, but they do a good job with a smile.

And what I mean by barber-shop is that JR's knows their customers and delivers quality services in a casual, chatty environment. It provides a homey environment where you can shower before/after treatment, but no whirlpool, sauna, or steam room. I have had several treatments hear from facials, pedicures, waxing, and massage all of which have been excellent. Staff seems to support each other and refer to each other based on client request. I also appreciate the online-scheduling system. If you have a chance to get cupping massage or reflexology with Deborah, do it!

The intoxicating smell of the Elemis products waft out to the elevator area and draw you in. The changing/shower area was disappointing - little more than a large bathroom in a locker room style with few grooming products. There are two waiting areas, one that looks over the water and has a balcony area, and the other that is in the middle of the block of treatment rooms. Both were cozy and stocked with water, tea, and apples.

Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial: I have a tendency to break-out after facials but my face was clear for weeks afterward. There is a lot of relaxing facial massage used due to all of the different masks. I asked for product recommendations to elongate the treatment - the therapist suggested 2 masks and gave me a discount.

Reflexology: I get this at nearly every spa I visit, and this one came with foot scrub. I would like to elaborate on how it was, but I fell asleep about halfway through. . . as usual.

Body Sculpting Cellulite and Colon Therapy: I did not find out until I was in the therapy room that this treatment was discontinued. She did a body scrub with disappointing abdominal massage and initially charged me the higher rate (it was refunded later after I emailed the manager).

We had the couples Mojave Rain which was an amazing olfactory and detoxifying experience. Our therapists tailored the massage portion to our requests. Staff was excellent and spa immaculate with a wonderful variety of baths, sauna, steams, and snow room. So far, my favorite Spa in Vegas!

Decided to try Vdara's boutique spa to contrast with our last visit to a mega-spa. Hubs and I had a 110 minute couples massage and he declared his deep tissue detox the best massage of his life - much grunting as the knots were worked out! My Swedish lavender was just what I needed after 3 days of walking the strip. My therapist incorporated some cold stones, which was a new for me and incredible add-on. I was one of the only people using the whirlpool, sauna, and steam room - small, but mighty and impeccably clean. Hubs reported the men's side was more active. Spa snacks and drinks were top notch and spa staff were attentive and friendly. Did not try the fitness or salon area, and I found the front desk staff a little preoccupied wrapping products and hovered over by a stressed-out looking manager. The spa areas are not as copious as the lager spas on the strip, however the intimacy also keeps out a lot of loud groups and makes for a more relaxing experience for the solo traveler. They have a great treatment menu and I would be tempted to come back, especially if staying in the hotel.
