Great couples Massage
My husband and I went to East Town Spa last year for valentines day for a couples massage and it was a very nice experience, the room we had the massage in was decorate really cool and was super comfy and the massage therapist did a awesome job, I was a bit nervous because my husband is very picky about massage but he ended up loving it !. We loved it so much that we are going back again this valentines day .

CALLED THE POLICE ON ME
I went to this spa February 27th 2015 because I purchased a Groupon for $59 which included full color, deep conditioning, and a hair cut. The day of my appointment I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who asked me what color I wanted to dye my hair. I was blonde at the moment and wanted to go back to my natural color, dark brown. Aaron the gentlemen that was servicing me said, I would need a “filler” to coat my hair before applying the color to prevent the color from fading and turning colors. I asked what the additional cost would be seeing how I already purchased the Groupon for $59. He stated it would be an additional $56. I was hesitant to respond but he stated if I didn’t do it my hair could turn green, so I complied. The hair process was wonderful; Aaron did a great job and answered my many questions. My appt was at 6:30 and we finished up around 9pm. I tipped the gentleman $20 and was directed to the counter to make a follow up appointment. The receptionist stated my total was $186. I was a little shocked and informed her about the Groupon code I had gave when I booked the appointment, she clicked a few buttons and told me my total was $3 for the tax. I paid the total and left. I received a call shortly after stating that the young lady rang me up for the wrong total and to call back. When I listened to the voicemail I was out for a late dinner and decided to call back the next day. The next day turned into a couple days, into a week, into a month. I then received a call from a Milwaukee police officer stating that the owner (I believe named Nicole) had called him and asked to investigate the situation. I was completely baffled at the fact that the salon owner felt it necessary to call the MPD over a matter that was essentially her receptionist’s fault. Granted I knew I owed the balance but being a new mom and working full time it had slipped my mind to call the salon or I would remember at inconvenient times, like late at night or in the middle of a work meeting. The fact that I was never called or contacted again by the salon besides the initial call made the day I left the salon, is beyond ridiculous! The police officer seemed pretty irritated with the situation as was I. To make matters even more pleasant when I called the salon Nicole was not available. I showed up at the salon the next morning to see if I could speak with Nicole directly, the receptionist said she wasn’t in but inquired about how she could help me. I informed her I received a call about a balance I owed. I gave her my name and she looked me up in the system. She stated she was aware of a situation regarding a police officer and I politely stated: I am that situation. She looked at the notes made in my file and she read them out loud: “left without paying $56, left voicemail” This is when I became completely dissatisfied with the salon. I didn’t leave without paying anything, I was charged for the wrong amount, there’s a difference! I explained this to the receptionist and she didn’t really seem empathetic. I decided to pay the balance but I asked her to please give Nicole my phone number so we could discuss the matter because I was very unpleased. I have yet to receive a phone call. To sum it up several errors were made on behalf of the staff at East Town Spa, but the way the handled THEIR mistakes is what really is affecting them. As a consumer I will recommend Aaron to anyone I know of, but as far as the customer service and management of this business I am very dissatisfied and will never do business with them again.

So if I understand correctly East Town Spa provided not only the services you required but to great satisfaction shown by you statements and that you tipped your service provider Aaron $20.00. Upon checking out you were aware of the following facts 1.) You purchased a Groupon for the amount of $59.00 2.) That you had an additional service provided for $56.00 which you were notified of prior to that service being provided. 3.) Upon leaving you were aware of the fact that you obviously did not owed $186.00 which you immediately contested and rightfully so. But you were just as aware of the fact you did owe $56.00 not owe $3.00, so why did you not question that at the time? Later when you got the call from East Town Spa I'm sure you suspected that it was regarding the remaining 53 dollars. But you ignored the call not just that night but for over a month, ( over which time there were several more attempts made to contact you, just for the record). So you would lead people to believe this is the fault of the staff and establishment how? So your blaming the staff and East Town Spa for your own inability to take any self-responsibility to pay your debts? To try and ignore your own responsibility to pay and simply submit a lengthy and strange declaration in the form of a review in hopes to damage our credibility that blames the spa I find and am sure any one reading this will find ludicrous. Facts do not cease because they are ignored. Our service providers strive to provide the best in services as you explained in your above statements. Most understands that those service providers have to make a living too! Some have family and children that they provide for and all work to pay for their own debts. When you skip out on payment for their services that is money out of their pockets. We are committed to the customer but we are equally committed to our staff and their needs. We are always happy to provide services to anyone “even you Monica”, but we also need to be compensated. Thank you for your wonderful review of our stylist Aaron and we invite anyone to come visits Aaron and his other staff members at East Town spa, as Monica herself said, “The hair process was wonderful; Aaron did a great job and answered my many questions.”. We look forward to seeing our future clients and apologize for Monica's poor decision making.
