I've enjoyed hot yoga here with various teachers and love them. I have nothing bad to say about the service...the instructors are friendly and very professional in class.

Extremely poor customer service
The classes themselves are fine, but the customer service is absolutely awful. In particular, the surly receptionist Nina needs a lesson in how to treat other people, let alone customers. I was involved in a horrific accident the night before a class, and was therefore unable to attend or cancel as I was in hospital. Rather than expressing sympathy, Nina simply said that she would not give me a refund or consider rescheduling the class because of their 'strict 24 hour cancellation policy'. Disgraceful.

Nice but very flawed
The prices seemed good but the restrictive booking & cancellations are not worth it. I liked the Barre class with Sarah but the lack of changing space and layout of the 'studio' is disappointing. But the biggest problem is the restrictive nature of their business model; buy classes weeks in advance with an uncompromising 24hr cancellation policy. This makes it tough for me to support a small, local business I would normally want to give my money to over the larger, chain gyms. I'm a busy working woman and often I have to work late with little notice. Considering there's a supposed 'waiting list' of up to 10 people for most evening classes, it seems unreasonable to have a no refund policy on class cancellations within 24hrs. Surely a pay as you go system or redeem on attendance class pass makes more sense? Save yourself the rudeness of Nina the office manager too, she is deeply unhelpful and unprofessional.

Unprofessional and overpriced
I found Fitness Fusions (Clapham Hot) online and purchased a 5-session pass for £25. The website is professional and the classes looked promising. I turned up for the first time and found that it is actually a studio cheaply built onto the back of a house. At 'reception' I was asked to write my name down on a piece of paper. There's a 'changing room' upstairs in a box bedroom, no lockers. The studio is conservatory-sized and seems to hold both hot and unheated classes - there are radiators and some overhead heaters. There's a laundry off the studio and walking through you can see the kitchen of the house. The studio has room for around 12-15 mats. The instructor, who I think is named Charlotte, didn't introduce herself to any newcomers and was quite abrupt. Her 2-year old daughter was running around in the studio before the class started. I attended kettle bell-pilates. A decent workout but there was little instruction - kettle bells can be quite dangerous if not used properly. The instructor played some music from a CD player but had to stop to change the CD when it finished. I won't be going back and can't believe the cost of almost £100/month for membership. I hope this review will save others from wasting their money!
