We offer many modalities and techniques, and combine them in sessions handcrafted just for you:
Swedish: a light to medium pressure massage used for relaxation and to reduce stress
Deep Tissue: focused and specific work that uses firm pressure. These techniques are used to penetrate the layers of muscle in order to relieve pain and release any knots and tension
Trigger Point Work: is integrated into a medium or deep tissue massage where a therapist provides focused attention and pressure on highly localized knots and areas of tension
Himalayan Salt Stone: Our stones are 100% pure Himalayan pink salt, rich in 84 naturally occurring minerals and elements that revitalize the body. The stones are warmed and used as an extension of your therapist’s hands to deliver a truly unforgettable massage with possible benefits:
- Increase blood circulation
- Reduce inflammation
- Improve sleep
- Induce deep relaxation
- Improve overall sense of well-being
Prenatal: primarily consists of Swedish masage techniques and may incorporate some stretching to relieve tension and pain. However, because no pregnancy is "routine," our therapists customize the massage to meet the individual needs of our clients. It has been proven to reduce stress, decrease swelling, relieves aches and pains, and reduce the anxiety that can accompany pregnancy
Sports: specifically designed for people involved in physical activity although one does not need to be an "athlete" to receieve one. It can include stretching and range of motion techniques as well as deep tissue and swedish strokes
Reflexology: the application of appropriate pressure to specific points and areas on the feet and hands. Reflexologists believe that these areas and reflex points correspond to different body organs and systems, and that pressing them has a beneficial effect on the organs and person's general health
Myofascial Release: is soft tissue therapy for the treatment of skeletal muscle immobility and pain. The therapy relaxes any contracted muscles, improves blood and lympthatic cirrculation, and stimulates the stretch reflex in muscles
Craniosacral: there is manipulation of the craniosacral system, which includes soft tissue and bones of the head (cranium), the spine down to its tail end (sacral area), and the pelvis. The therapist will also work the membranes that surround these bones and the cerebrospinal fluid that bathes the brain and spinal cord. Although the therapist uses a touch so light that many client's may not notice, most people report feeling profoundly relaxed after a treatment
