The services are great but the administration is horrible. What I mean by this is:
1) For example, ESSpa sometimes offer buy one get one gift card deals, where there are stipulations on the free amount, but the other amount has no restrictions and should be treated like cash Unfortunately this is not the case. I tried to redeem a special offer but the wouldn't honor the gift card. I asked if they would take cash for the special offer, but wouldn't take the gift card even though I had the email from them that said the gift card would be treated like cash.
2) They are not very accommodating when they cancel an appointment on you. Many times, it takes at least a month to get in at a convenient time for you.
3) I saw another customer get really upset because she tried to pay for a service on a Monday and I guess the gift card she had said she couldn't use it on Monday. Technically, she was wrong but besides ESSpa, I don't imagine any other retailer turning her down and making her pay cash.
I admit that I still go because there isn't much choice in the area and I want to be close, but their advertising and rules are sometimes false.
Dear Hoa, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Please know that we always put the happiness and satisfaction of our clients as our number 1 priority. And we always try to offer the best possible special offers to allow as many people as possible to experience a treatment at our spa. Because of the nature of these specials - often involving completely complimentary Bonus Vouchers - we must sometimes place certain restrictions on how this free Bonus cash can be either purchased and/or redeemed. It would not make any sense to allow a purchase of a special offer with a previously purchased special offer as a creative guest could conceivably make 1 purchase and come in forever without ever making an additional purchase. With every special offer, in every instance, we always go out of our way and make every effort to clearly explain every detail of every possible restriction before any purchase is ever made - or even solicited. I am so sorry that you feel that we are not completely up front with any restrictions and I am always happy to discuss any of our policies with you in any way at any time that might be convenient for you. Again, I thank you for bringing this to my attention and I look forward to seeing you again soon as I heard you were just in earlier this month (April, 2015). Sincerely, Eva
